For sandwiches we had the marin (not tuna on a baguette) and the fermier. The marin was mind blowing - it really tasted fishy …. in a good way. I liked it so much I ordered another to go, along with a slice of lemon cake (very moist and 100% yummy)

Large and busy location with loads of options and good service! 😊 I noticed they have an upstairs area which I didn’t explore this time but I’m guessing there will be more seating and bathrooms up there which is always appreciated! 😄

Coming to Paris as a vegan can be frustrating, because there are so many boulangeries with pretty baked goods and you cannot eat any of them.

Cause of death - coronary due to excessive consumption of pan au chocolate. This would be on our headstone if we lived in Paris. Right now, the only thing saving us is being on a 200 mile an hour train speeding north through the French countryside back to Britain. Yes, of course we bought some for the journey home.
Read moreSeriously though, this is evidence that butter and milk are in serious serious trouble, from a pastry perspective. I still remember pre-vegan croissants, and the ones from Land and Monkey are still the best I've ever had. For want of a better way to describe it, flaky buttery perfection. The pan au raisin is just as good. Coffee here is banging as well!
We also explored plenty of the savoury bits. I was a particular fan of the petit pan with cheese and ham, and we both agreed the BLT was stunning, in sandwich terms. The focaccias are well made and tasty. We also tried a couple of other sandwiches too; the Fumier and the kebab, which were yummy but would benefit from a more liberal application of the relevant sauces. The sweet stuff was definitely the standout!
Needless to say, every breakfast for our four night stay in Paris was enjoyed here (or at one of their other branches).

I was there with my daughter and we were overwhelmed with so many choices. We had the "fermier" sandwich and the "parisien" one, one croissant, one pain au chocolate, an eclair and a big macaroon with berries. Everything was delicious and I need to go back.

Read moreHumiliated us telling us to leave a table (there were many empty tables) because my daughters ordered take away but other people were also eating take away without this issue. Two tables had people with no food. One lady had all her bags in a table and was plucking her legs. Literally. She had no food.. We went to L&M many times on our trip, very upsetting to be treated so rudely.
Try VG patisserie instead.

We were sitting outside the restaurant on some stairs, eating our food since they made us leave the outdoor tables. During that time we saw multiple people, and eat Takeaway and then leave, we were the only ones that we’ve spoken to and removed. Perhaps they thought we were American. We aren’t, not that that would be OK anyway.
