Nice Evening Market Treat - Edit
Lots of cheap vegan Thai dishes made from rice, noodles, soup, curry.. 50 bahts and very accommodating, you can ask no-fry and no-oil, they would kindly steam your vegetables for your dish.

Cheap and good vegan Thai food stall - Edit
Went twice, both times food was great and so cheap it's hard to believe. Seating options are totally fine considering it's a stall.

I went there almost every night. My favorite dish is stir fry vegetables & tofu with holy basil. It is sooo good. I also recommend you to try noodle soup. Everything is 50 baht.

Good Thai food - Edit
We ordered a Penang and a red curry and weren't disappointed: the portions were well sized, tasted quite good and so the 50 Baht per dish were well invested.

Good price point for good food. There are other places in Chiang Mai where can also eat at this price and might have a bit better atmosphere, but nonetheless we enjoyed it and recommend the food.

Khao soi was different than any other khao soi I've had before, but delicious. Panang curry was also very good. Only 100B total for both.

Delicious, fresh, cheap - Edit
I love Lada! The food is fresh, the staff is incredibly kind and friendly, and the price is very cheap (about 50 baht/dish). So many options to try and almost everything is vegan or can be made vegan. Some favorites: mushroom green curry, khao soy (sub rice noodle for vegan option), noodle tofu vegetable soup, fried rice.

Vegan Street Food - Edit
I loved finding a vegan street food vendor in among the other carts! The staff was incredibly nice, even giving me samples of several of the dishes out front. I understand the other reviewers who were not crazy about the noodle dishes and agree that I probably won’t bothering ordering from the menu again because the pre-made dishes out front were all incredible! Super flavorful and a wide variety to choose from. The prices are as cheap as it gets - standard non veg street food prices. Everything was perfectly clean and fresh. Delicious bottles of fresh sugar-free juices also. I’m obsessed with passionfruit and the “juice” was a whole bottle of passionfruit filling - seeds and all - which to me is heaven.

Not what I was expecting - Edit
I found this place by accident so I can't say I was disappointed, but nothing on the menu looked particularly Thai. It was mostly rice and tvp/tofu dishes. I had the spicy mushrooms and tofu. It was a little spicy and that was about it. Maybe other things are good and maybe dinner isn't the time to go. On the up side it's cheap and veg.

Can't recommend the pad see ew - Edit
I guess I chose the wrong dish but the pad see ew was really bland and had only few pieces of morning glory and tofu. Portion was pretty small compared to other stalls and although I paid only 50B, I think the price was still a bit high for what I got.
Read moreIt's nice to have an entire vegetarian stall in the city center, though :)
Pros: Close to city center, Classic Thai dishes

Nice to have vegetarian options - Edit
The food is not outstanding but good and it is very nice to have vegetarian options among all the meat options. The menu with photos is very convenient and the portions are big enough. The pad Thai was the best dish of the 5 we took. They also have tables and chairs to eat on the spot.

Inexpensive and tasty - Edit
We went here on a Saturday night and it was super busy but our food was prepared pretty quick and it was good. I got the stir fried mixed vegetable with rice, and my wife got the tom yum soup. Both were very good. My wife even asked for some rice noodles to be added to the soup, which they did free of charge.
Read moreWe also got two of the samosas that were featured at the front for only 15 thb each, which were also very good, but a little on the greasy side. Total for both of us was 130 thb, but we didn't have any drinks. Would definitely eat here again for a quick inexpensive local meal.
Pros: Good Food, Quick service, Friendly staff
Cons: Fried food can be greasy
