We're had appetizers to share, starters and mains.
Read moreTaste, colours, textures, flavours... Everything was perfect.
Although the plates weren't decorated for a picture to be posted on social medias, the colours, the smells, the steam coming out of the homemade bread freshly out of the oven offered us an unforgettable intimate moment.
The staff was more than friendly, speaking English, offering advice on the dishes we'd choose and the cook even came to ask for our opinion on the food before we left, explaining us that the entire staff was vegan too.
We highly recommend this place, and don't make the mistake to not book your table ahead cause they are quickly packed.
Pros: Lovely staff, Good choice of food, Good wine

Disappointed - Edit
Being Italian I was sad to be disappointed by a restaurant that was claiming to offer vegan Italian food. For lunch the options were only a few and quite expensive. Polpette were ok, the carbonara definitely a no, made using coconut milk (I think, since it just tasted like that) it was way too sweet and the "bacon" was flavourless. The cake tasted nice but still with coconut milk, a flavour very far from Italian cuisine

Brunch super! - Edit

Best vegan place we found in Milan - Edit
Family style restaurant which is popular by the locals as well.
Read moreYou can get pasta, pizza, vegan cheese platter, beer and wine as well as desserts and more.
Everything is vegan and although not cheap I found the prices alright for the quality and quantity that was served.
We had Bruschetta and Pasta with cream/cheese-sauce which honestly weren't that special but the pizza (Margherita and Foccacia style with Tomatoes and grilled zucchini) were outstanding. The vegan cheese on the pizza is very good and the tomatos so fresh!
For starters, main, water and wine we payed around 50€ for two.
If this place would be in a city with more vegan options I would rate it 4 stars but this is the best place we found in Milan.
The staff was very friendly. Service was fast. The atmosphere is cosy (music is a little loud imho). You can pay by credit card and cash. Haven't seen outside seating.
Pros: Completely vegan, friendly staff

Buon cibo, staff fantastico - Edit

We loved this friendly restaurant - Edit
This restaurant was on the same road as our hotel. We would normally choose completely vegan as our first choice but the reviews were good and we didn't have to walk far! The vegan menu is extensive and most of the desserts are vegan. The restaurant is run by a mother and daughter who are both vegan. We had such a friendly welcome and the food was delicious. In fact we went twice during our weekend in Milan. Once for an evening meal and once for vegan Sunday Brunch. If this restaurant was in the town we lived in we would be regular visitors.

Amazing and agree with other review 5/5! - Edit
We booked a table for a Sunday night dinner. There are a lot of choices for vegans. I would recommend this restaurant above the other vegan places here. The chefs are vegan. We shared chickpea patties and then I had gnocchi. There was so much flavour. Incredible! My partner had the pizza and I tried it. It was one of the nicest pizzas. I really enjoyed the base too. Then for dessert I had the plate of 3 desserts with a coffee. All of them were delicious and the coffee was lovely too. I really enjoyed it. The service was lovely and friendly and I loved the restaurant. Fabulous!!

The food was immaculate. I LOVED it. Visited 3 times in 4 days and they served me some of the better meals of my life. The service was so sweet.

Great traditional Italian food with a vegan twist! - Edit
Their vegan pizza is delicious. They make a whole wheat dough that brings a great taste to the crust of the pizza, which is much better than a white flour dough that we can find in most restaurants. Their cheese is delicious.

Great experience - Edit
I went here with my family a week ago and I was pleasantly surprised, especially after reading a few not so great reviews on here. The food was interesting and tasty, the focaccia was good which makes me think that pizza there would be great as well, deserts were so good especially the tiramisù. The staff is really kind and helpful. My family went back for the Sunday vegan brunch, 8 courses for 20euros and were really impressed.

Great Italian food - Edit
Tried this place out because it was Easter Sunday and the vegan only places nearby were closed. Very glad we did! A nice ambiance with a lot of tables full of people speaking Italian if that is something you are looking for.
Read moreThere are both vegan and traditional items on the menu, with the vegan options shown first and separate from the traditional items so it is very clear. We had a mushroom pizza and an eggplant/zucchini pizza which were both great followed by the café gourmand which was extremely generous with delicious vegan cakes, including an Italian Easter cake.
We met the chef who is vegan herself and extremely enthusiastic. A wonderful experience.
Pros: Vegan chef, Wide selection of clearly labeled vegan beer and w, Very friendly service

Amazing vegan food, traditional Italian dishes, rawfood & desserts - Edit
Finding traditional dishes with plant based options while traveling is possible! Had this amazing Italian eggplant pizza made with rice based mozzarella cheese on a crunchy crust with fresh tomato sauce from La Colubrina in Milan, Italy. Chef Consuelo is a full vegan herself inventing amazing dishes comme antipasti, primi piatto, segundi piatto and dolce with an Italian plant based twist.

Traditional Italian food - Edit
After ten days in various parts of Italy and not too much to eat, this place was a really welcome surprise. "Vegan options" really meant that (or vegetarian as I prefer to call it when it doesn't contain dairy nor egg ) and not only two options: their menu includes three pages of vegan dishes of which a few are raw. And they use the vegan symbol 🌱 for their raw options.
Read moreI had the home made ravioli integrali stuffed with eggplant and cassava. Even though I couldn't feel the taste of stuffing the test was good. Unfortunately it didn't look very tempting. I also had the green salad with tomatoes and cucumber which was really good and it was quite a generous portion. Unfortunately we didn't have time to try any of the desserts. The cover/coperto was 2€/pp and didn't include bread. Prices was reasonable since the pasta was home made. Have had regular factory made spaghetti with canned tomato sauce for more than the 9,5€ La Colubrina charge.
Overall I have to say it was nice to sit down and have an traditional (Italian) meal and not again be referred to the regular vegan fast food such as burgers, wraps and pizza. So tired of that.
Pros: Traditional Italian food - not fast food, 3 pages of vegetarian options (no dairy, no egg)
Cons: A Primi Piatti sized Secondi Piatti

Nicest staff, best food, and perfect place to bring meat eaters - Edit
The chef at this restaurant is vegan, so she knows how to cook amazing vegan food. We've been here twice, and although the staff doesn't speak very great english, they do try their best. The chef saw that we ordered vegan food and sent us a couple slices of pizza to try that had house made rice cheese on it, which was outstanding. They also had things to eat for our entire family, who are meat eaters. I would come here any time I stopped in Milan.

Traditional Lombard dishes turned vegan - Edit
I have been here twice and was pretty satisfied both times. What I like about this restaurant is the old-Milan feeling and the staff's kindness. They offer a good choice of vegan dishes, also gluten-free, and some typical Milanese recipes turned vegan. Last time we went there we had sorghum and rice mozzarella balls, followed by a fancy kidney bean burger with porcini mushrooms, baked potatoes and vegetable brunoise and an interesting sunflower seed burger. Another dish I liked was the pumpkin and amaretto cookie gnocchi, a typical dish from Mantua turned vegan, which proved to be amazing. They also offer quite a good selection of vegan pizzas.
