Large store with organic produce and lots for vegans - Edit
Large store which joins three separate rooms. Wide range of products, including fresh, organic produce, bulk bins (grains, beans, teas, flours, molasses, peanut butter, snacks), beers (and a shelf of non-alcoholic brands)/wines/ciders, nuts and seeds and lots more. Many vegan items, including cheeses, meats, frozen foods (Gardein brand, burgers, ice cream bars…). The third room offers personal care products, medicinal teas, homeopathic and flower remedies and supplements.
Read moreThe food-serving part of the business must have closed down (in the pandemic). The "Le Crac" sign outside is no longer there; just "La Carotte Joyeuse" signs. The website shows the name as La Carotte Joyeuse, with "le Crac aliments sains" in parentheses.

Great spot for vegan groceries - Edit
I stayed in this area when I visit QC, and I loved being able to walk to this little shop. They have many cold vegan ingredients and pre-made meals, and lots of bulk items. Also, most items are local and organic. They have zero-waste refilleries as well.

Be Aware When Paying With Cash - Edit
Paid with a $100 bill, and got shortchanged by $15. We didn’t realize until we got home. They have decent vegan options. Produce is on the pricey side.

Great vegan market (organic and bulk) and lunch counter - Edit
This is my go-to market. Fresh, great variety and selection, good prices. Parking is tricky (ask for sticker) Love the lunch deli counter and the seating is in the small alcôve through the vitamin room.

The Crac is located in a very nice area of town. I was impressed by the array of items I could find : liquid smoke, vegan ice cream, tempeh, Vegenaise, seaweed, coconut whipped topping, chocolate, etc. They don't seem to be missing too many items.

Loved it - Edit
Great place. No seating there that I could see. Deli with a lot of vegan items. Good kung pao tofu. Crazy good tofu burger (really, really good) on gluten free, vegan bun (by request). Two flavors: bbq and sesame. I liked bbq better. Also, the grocery part of the store has huge selection of vegan items including some prepackaged deserts, as well as healthy items two. I enjoyed it a lot.
