very good surprise

We picked up this restaurant quite randomly after hesitating for a long time between the numerous Chinese restaurant there is in the area. We knew how hard it can be to find clearly identified vegan food in France but were attracted by the big menu with many veg and tofu options (and also meat and fish for our friends that aren’t vegetarian).
We had a seaweed and chili salad, vegetarian raviolis and a big portions of tofu + veggies coming in a hotpot with some typical chinese goey sauce. We also tried some grilled lotus roots and grilled tofu with spices and everything was delicious and very tasty. Portions were big, we didn’t have to wait for too long despite the crowd in the restaurant, and the staff was very friendly and careful. We couldn’t make sure it was truly vegan as they might use the same tools in the kitchen (didn’t verify as we usually don’t care too much about this) and it is hard in this country to get the staff to understand what is vegan and what is not.. But we saw no sign of animal product in our plates.
Very affordable prices and good location in the chinese neighborhood of Lyon.
