Healthy vegan Turkish fastfood

The cigekofte wrap is very tastefull. You can choose between spicy or mild cigekofte (bulgur with herbs) and also which wrap (normal, tomato or wholegrain), other ingredients and sauce (pomegranate!) you want. Perfect for lunch or snack. And it’s very clean. The name is changed from Komagene in Wrap Home.

They have also other vegan options, like falafel of vegan döner. Thuis vegan options are marked.

Great value, good taste

Clean and simple place, go there when no time to make lunch. The chee kofte wrap is really good, comes with Pomegranate and lemon sauce.

Pros: Great value

Turkish Vegan Wraps

I tried Komagene che kofte wrap and their falafel.
Che kofte (cig kofte) wrap comes with very sour sauces and is somewhat an acquired taste. It’s a paste made of bulgur with nuts and spices. Falafel was absolutely delicious but tasted a bit eggy. I asked the company if it’s vegan and they were confused at first and said it was vegetarian but later confirmed it was vegan. (Sigh of relief)

Komagene advertises 3 of their wraps as vegan (che kofte, falafel, and aubergine wrap). Upon closer inspection their main website shows the v-label in the vegetarian rather than vegan category. I asked their Amsterdam branch on facebook about their vegan dishes and they said that in Turkey cig kofte is vegan and labelled vegan.

Pros: budget friendly, some options are vegan, fresh taste

Cons: vegetarian v-label instead of vegan, very sour sauces

clean little place, not too expensive

You can choose your wrap and your filing. Owner is very friendly, if you don't know an ingredient he lets you taste it. You can also see that they work very clean.

Pros: vegan options clearly marked, wraps starting from only 3.90, lots of healthy options
