Simple and delicious surprise menu - Edit
We found Elixer through Happy Cow -- thank you! -- because we were in the area and had no dinner plans. And it was a very welcome discovery. Drinks, decor, staff, vibe and the vegan surprise menu were all great. We'll be back!
Read moreUpdate: we went back a second time, this time with (omnivore) friends and had the bistro menu (three courses). Everyone loved the (vegan by default) starter and I suspect the omnivores were a bit envious of our vegan main which was fantastic -- so many unusual components, all tasty -- while their langoustine dish looked a bit sad and scrawny.
The vegan dessert also seemed better to me (with chocolate sorbet rather than calvados ice cream).

Dit sfeervolle restaurant midden in de Indische buurt, met fijn, kleurrijk en zonnig terras oversteeg onze verwachtingen. Een circulair, duurzaam initiatief met groentevolle kaart met veel vegan opties. Wij hadden de artisjokken, groene boontjes salade en pickles fritters, heerlijk! De gebruikte producten lijken veel smaakvoller te zijn dan die uit de supermarkt, misschien omdat ze uit eigen tuin komen. 🌱

Plenty of vegan options. - Edit
I went here a couple months ago, not all vegan options were clearly labelled but I was pleasantly surprised by their vegan options. I believe I had vegan jerky sandwich and it was great. Staff was friendly and place is working hard to support the neighborhood

Nice beers and lot of potential vegan meals - Edit
Really fun! It kinda has beach club vibes, they serve local beers and even sell vegetables? They also have a lot of (non vegan) meals which can be made vegan. We weren't too hungry so we had some fries with a delicious home made ketchup!

They are very big on re-use and using local resources.

The food is very nice and creative and the servers are friendly.
It's a little off the beaten path for tourists, but certainly worth a visit if your looking for a nice vegan meal.
