Not My Favourite - Edit
I found this place close to closing time and the person working there had already pulled all the food. When I pressed a bit to get something to go she put together macaroni, lentil balls (with an extra at no charge as it would have been thrown out anyway which was nice of her) and marinara sauce. Thankfully I was taking it home and cooked up some onions and zucchini to put on top along with extra spices and salsa. I’m sorry to say I felt the meatballs had the texture of sawdust without much flavour. I’m guessing if you get there earlier in the day you can get more toppings that help with the flavour. Nice enough staff so I don’t blame her. She said they ran out of a bunch of things.

Thank goodness for the happy cow app!! If I hadn’t found this place on the app, I probably would have written it off as not vegan friendly based on the name.
Read moreThere are however multiple vegan options between the two vegan bowls on the menu, the build your own bowl option and the vegan baguette. I made my own bowl with lentil meatballs, roasted potatoes, cashew cream, cabbage, carrots, fresh herbs and arugula. I enjoyed the mix of hot food, creamy dressing and fresh veg. The bowls are served with a bun-sized piece of baguette on the side, and very filling.
The ambiance is warm and cozy. Exposed brick walls, hardwood floors, and large windows with natural light.
Pros: multiple vegan options, good portion size, delicious
Cons: no bathroom in the restaurant, must go to pub next
