Excellent khao soy - Edit
Made to order unlike Rabiengboon nearby, but still pretty fast.
Read moreThe khao soy was great.
Another day i got the set menu. The main dish (unidentified, maybe nam tok) was not so exciting. But the tom kha (mild aromatic coconut soup) was amazing. Was great for cooling down the spiciness.
Not all dishes are vegan here, but many are.
Note that the stalls do not handle money, you have to get a stored value card from the cashiers. Or use rabbit card (skytrain prepay)
I found the set menu confusing, hence the unidentified dish. I suggest if you want to save money just go to Rabiengboon (stall c.07 "original vegetarian ") instead. It's also great.
Pros: Delicious khao soy and tom kha, Freshly prepared to order, Not too expensive (70-90 per dish)
Cons: Confusing set menu options, Disapppointing main with set menu, Hard to find a seat at lunchtime

Best option in Siam area - Edit
It's part of the huge MBK Food Court on the 6th floor. Location is close to the rear cash card counter. Food is cooked fresh and price is very reasonable, especially for the set menu. Black pepper tofu and red curry have been extremely tasty.

Good food at a cheap price - Edit
Rice was a bit dry assuming it had been left over from lunch time (I arrived at 3pm). Rest was cooked to order and very tasty.

Great flavor, good value - Edit
We were fairly impressed with our first meal at the MBK branch of Khun Churn. Having eaten at the Chiang Mai original and two other Bangkok branches, we expected a "same-same but different" experience, and that's what we got. What's the same is skilled preparation and a focus on healthier ingredients. What's different here is the simplified menu and the fact that it's just two young people cooking in a food-court stall.
Read moreWe ordered four dishes (the combo options on the menu make it quite easy and affordable to mix and match), and in all four cases the flavors and textures were excellent.
The only disappointment was that for one of the items they used a microwave oven (whereas the others were cooked on a range).
Prices were very reasonable for the quality (270 baht total for four items).
Enjoy!
Pros: Great flavors, reasonable prices
Cons: Serves egg, uses microwave ovens

consistant good vegan food - Edit
I ate here many times throughout the 15 years i have come to mbk, i think it was tge same booth, and location. the food has allways been delicious and a nice varity. I believe whole grain rice. and for 60 baht i picked 4 dishes, and it was plentiful. the food court has gotten very pleasent atmosphere, very clean and upgraded. Some dishes are a bit too spicy for me. to get low spice ask for "mai phet".

all Kuhn churns are different - Edit
Pleasant surprise finding Kuhn Churn in mbk (on the sixth floor). I've been several times to the buffet in Chiang Mai throughout the years, the one at the medipex, and the one at Eat Thai-- and every one is different but all of them focus on making food that is healthier.

Not living up to the great name - Edit
Ever since we visited Khun Churn buffet in Chiang Mai, we have considered that name the ultimate in vegetarian food. We were really happy to discover a new Khun Churn outlet at MBK, stall b4 on the 6th floor. We were willing to pay a bit more for the food than if we had bought it at another stall (c7)on that floor.
Read moreUnfortunately, we did not enjoy the food.
We bought a set meal with a soup, salad and fried tofu and a second main course, an omlet. The issue was sugar. The salad had extremely sweet dressing all over it. It was candy, not a salad. Same thing with the red curry soup. We just could not eat it because it was so sweet. Fried tofu and rice were fine. The other main dish, the omlet, that too, was more like a dessert! Its consistency was odd too.
Sugar is very inflammatory! It's not healthy, and K.C. Is proud to offer healthy food. Another problem is that at least Westerners find it unplesant and odd if their main course is so sweet. I'm really sad to give a negative report!
Pros: No msg
Cons: Please at least reduce, preferably cut out sugar.
