Best meal in Iceland - Edit
My favorite meal in Iceland, hands down. We ordered the sauerkraut pierogies and the special smoked tofu/potato pierogies along the the wild mushroom spicy soup which comes with mini tofu pierogies in the soup. The smokiness of the tofu was delicious and paired so nicely with the sweetness of the carrots and the creaminess of the sour cream. The soup was quite spicy but very well balanced and umami. I’m so sad that I didn’t discover this restaurant until my last day in Reykjavik, would definitely have come back multiple times during my trip otherwise.

Best Mushroom Soup - Edit
The mushroom soup is to die for! So creamy flavorful and hearty. The tofu dumplings inside are divine. Preferred this over the black lentil and mushroom pierogi.

I agree with all the other positive reviews here, I really enjoyed the dumplings (one set with sauerkraut, one with blueberries) but I also need to highlight the tomato soup (soup of the day), which was absolutely amazing. So full of flavor and even with small dumplings in it.

We loved the vegan options at Kemuri, the pierogi tasted exactly as they're supposed to! The tiny place is run by a lovely Polish couple. We chose a mix of chili sin carne and smoked tofu pierogi, and also had a plate of blueberry ones for "dessert", plus a lovely grain "coffee" substitute with oat milk (called Inka). This dinner made our rainy day in Reykjavik 100x better :)

I divided two plates of dumplings with two other non vegan friends and we were very much satisfied. The one with smoked tofu was amazing. Then they have also vegan dessert options😄Also very nicely decorated place. Normal prices considering the average at Reykjavik.

I got the ten-pierogi combo – the fillings were sauerkraut (with mushrooms and plum) and one of the specials of the day, which was smoked tofu and potato. Both were really good but the smoked tofu was particularly delicious. They came with a little salad, gherkins, and oat-based sour cream which was fantastic.
Read moreService was very friendly and when the woman at the counter (not sure if she was the owner?) saw that I was ordering vegan pierogis, she asked if I was vegan so I could get the vegan sour cream. This was much appreciated because I wouldn't have known otherwise.

I tried the Sauerkraut Pierogi and vegan special of the day (white bean filling). Both tasted really good, the special one had a really umami taste and reminded me of bacon (all vegan tho!). Will definitely come back 🙌🏻

We ended up going here twice during our trip because the food was lovely and the staff were amazing. Everything we tasted was delicious (including the soft drinks). The staff offered to mix dumplings with different fillings on one plate when we had a hard time choosing.

Delicious Vegan Dumplings (and vegetarian) - Edit
Very small home-y place with only one lady taking orders and cooking everything on the spot. They have 2 vegetarian options and 1 vegan that are the standard in addition to 1 vegetarian and 1 vegan option that they change daily. I’m vegetarian and my husband is vegan so we ordered both. I honestly thought the vegan options were better!

Delectable dumplings with great vegan options! My only problem with this place is that I wish I could eat 3x more than what they served. 😂 Filling was sour cabbage/ mushroom and the daily special vegan option was black lentils. Both were incredible. They even serve with vegan yogurt if you ask!
