Veg Indian street food in Covent area

Tried bhel puri and potato chaat. A little spicy but both competent. Difficult for vegan and gluten free but doable. Nice ambiance and location. A little pricey for chaat but location and ambiance makes up.

Chaat lines

A small nook of a place that does quite authentic Indian food that is modelled after what people eat in India rather than British restaurant style Indian food.
All vegetarian with a good flavour profile, subtle and well balanced. We ordered several menu items.
London prices so not the cheapest, but if you're feeling adventurous then I highly recommend this place.
The desert had noodles in it, which is a new one on me. In a very nice and quiet area that is central, if you're doing the occult bookshops or Soho, a great stopping off point..nearby many theatres too.
Quick service.

Pros: All veg , Indian

Good pre-theatre option

This is a nicely furnished, smallish restaurant with a pretty extensive menu of less run-of-the-mill dishes. Those containing dairy are marked. Plenty are vegan although I wasn't 100% confident it was dairy-free butter on the bread roll. In their defence I didn't check.

The friendly server directed us to spicy dishes at our request but when brought to the table said they had made them spicy especially for us 🤷‍♀️

The food was fine but make a special trip to Healthy Wealthy (N7) for more vibrant Indian street food with heaps of flavour and texture contrast going on.

Unlicensed restaurant.

Pros: Good value, Speedy service, Great pun
