Great for late lunch Gyoza - Edit
Kakekomi had enough to satisfy both meat eaters and veggies alike - it took us a little while to find it and we went up and down the street a few times - top tip - look at the picture someone has posted of the entrance!! The gyoza were freshly cooked and very tasty, we also had the draught beer which again was very nice. The restaurant itself is small and cosy and very traditional which we loved. The food gyoza were not only tasty but reasonably priced too - will definitely be returning!

Nice Gyoza - Edit
The Gyoza were really delicious and filling. We had to wait in line to get a seat, but the Line was moving quickly. You order through a tablet where you can see which options are vegan. We loved all the different gyoza we had.

We ended up coming here twice as it was close to our hotel, and it was easy to order vegan items due to a vegan section on the menu (ordering via tablet).

They will happily discriminate against you if you’re a foreigner. Make a reservation for the best service. Gyoza was good but not the best.

Tasty vegan gyoza - Edit
Cosy izakyaka that specialises in gyoza and offers 4 vegan gyoza options along with side dishes. Highly recommend the honey mustard gyoza and green pepper salad. Enjoyed it so much we visited it the next day. This place is also open 24/7.

Served me meat dumplings - Edit
I would not recommend coming here. We ordered off the designated vegan section on the iPad, and then dumplings came out. My partner tasted them and said that they taste like meat. We called our server over to confirm that these were vegan, she said yes. Then later comes back with our actual vegan dumplings that we ordered. Turns out the two different types we had just eaten weren’t the vegan ones. On top of serving us meat dumplings and insisting they were vegan, only to bring out the actual vegan ones later, they were also dishing us up food we didn’t order and yet we had to pay for them. I would not recommend coming here.

Yummy and great atmosphere - Edit
Orders are made via a tablet (English menu available). There are multiple vegan options if you search through the different menu tabs. E.g. there are fried gyoza filled with veggies as vegan option compared to traditional karage. Also, there are gyoza with a honey mustard glazing, which are not vegan of course but vegetarian, and green, more classical, vegan gyoza.

Delicious and simple - Edit
Easy ordering process (via tablet which can be changed to English) - two kinds of vegan gyozas and lots of sides - pickled cucumber, edamame, cabbage, rice, etc. We enjoyed it - and as it was open 24 hours it was good to know we always had somewhere easy to grab late night food if needed.

Use English menu to find vegan options - Edit
Update: 22. november 2023
Read moreThere are three vegan options here and you have to use the English menu to access them as stated in description. The staff does not always know what you are referring to, but rest assured the options are there. I know this sounds confusing, but servers here in Japan are not always updated, especially part timers, but this is life in Japan. We have been coming here for years, are Japanese speakers, have had vegan meetups with Japanese vegans, and this is the situation: three vegan options on the menu, must order on EN menu.
Vegan gyoza options: (Access on English menu)
-Vegan steamed green gyozas (labelled vegan)
-Gyoza with spicy sauce (labelled vegan)
-Gyoza Karage Vegaetables (these are basically the green steamed ones, just fried. Labelled "vegetables")
Vegan side dishes: (Access on English menu on "pupus")
-Steamed white rice
-Edamame beans
-Cabbage salad
-Green pepper side dish
-Cold tofu •••you canattempt to order this from staff without the fish flakes•••
Great vegan gyozas, both fried abd steamed. Vegan items are clearly marked on the menu and gyozas are made with TVP protein and veggies. Izakaya style restaurant and friendly staff.

If you like gyozas, you’ll love these. - Edit
This is a cool place for atmosphere. The set up is really fun. The table iPad ordering system works well, although you don’t get enough information about the dishes.
Read moreWhen we were first seated I asked about vegetarian/vegan options (in Japanese) and was shown the only option in ‘mains’ was the green vegan gyoza, one kind only, so we got 10 of them.
I’ve seen other reviews on here say there are 3 kinds of vegan gyozas. Perhaps the options have changed in the past week or so. With the exception of the green vegan gyozas, the others all use the same signature fish broth according to the Japanese translation.
They were the best gyozas I’ve ever had. We got some small sides: edamame peas (best I’ve had), kimchi and cold tofu block. The tofu block was unexpectedly topped with bonito flakes (not described in the menu) so I cut the top off. With hindsight I should have asked about each of the sides too before placing the order.
Good drinks. Worth going to if you’re looking for an authentic Japanese-local style downtown restaurant. Although the menu has an English option, that only applies to the names of the items and anything beyond that (‘add’ or ‘pay’ for example) is still in Japanese.
Updated from previous review on 2023-10-03…
Thanks to the regular who has commented on my post twice to insist that there are 3 vegan options. I must have been mistaken, as was the server that night.
