Worth the wait - Edit
Look up in the comment section how to get to the vegan menu. I ordered them all and they were different enough. The tofu I ordered came with bonito flakes, so be careful.

Should be 5* - Edit
While I can't give this 5* because happy cow doesn't allow it for omni restaurants, it deserves it.

Went here after all the great reviews. We ordered almost every type of the vegan gyoza and loved them all! The atmosphere and ambience in there was also incredible. A short walk away from iconic neon lined Shinjuku streets it's a perfect spot.

AMAZING!! - Edit
If you book via the website you can choose the vegan set meal -where there are 7 courses (3 being gyozas). We also opted for the bottomless drinks option. Was a fantastic evening and staff are so friendly.

Great gyouza! - Edit
These gyouza were great! I think there is only one vegan gyouza as a base, but then it is prepared in different ways. The "karaage" style ones were my favourite, but the honey ones were also really interesting (if you're ok with honey)

Small, noisy, challenging iPad menu - Edit
A very small place, so getting a seat can be quite difficult. We were seated at the bar, and the menu is accessed through an iPad. The iPad menu was quite confusing, but we did manage to find some vegan options. They arrived relatively quickly and were delicious. However, the space is very tight, and it was quite noisy.

This food slapped - Edit
Loved the gyoza sooo much, fast service, easy to read menu through iPad, good drinks. Tried to go again at 6:30 on a Saturday and they were fully booked for 3 hours. Stays open late so great to get a good feed before or after clubbing in Shinjuku!

One option but it was good! - Edit
On the iPad I saw the vegan gyoza but no other option to have it fried, boiled, or steamed. Regardless, it was good and comes with rice and soup

Selection of 4 different types of gyozas, all very different and all good flavour! My favourite was the honey and mustard!

Best Gyoza I can remember… - Edit
They have a vegan menu accessed through the main gyoza menu - it is a bit confusing to find - but opens up with 3 vegan gyoza options and a 4th which states honey (I don’t eat honey so didn’t try these ones)
Read moreThe spinach and fake meat ones were so good i got them twice.
The karrage ones were incredible - the texture was a thing of beauty but they were a touch rich - so i couldn’t have any more than 3.
The fried gyoza came on a bed of cabbage and a tasty sauce.
The edamame were delicious too.
Will be angling to return with my partner!
Pros: Spinach gyoza , Vegan karrage, Edamame
Cons: Horse meat on the menu that could make you avoid, Served the vegan gyoza with non vegan

Hi there! The honey ones are called "honey" but actually do not contain honey. I confirmed with staff that it is syrup. You can access the ingredient list on the menu too that will confirm this. Hope this clears it up :-)

Cheap and delicious!! - Edit
Went here for a cheap meal and was not disappointed! There is a fully vegan menu with four types of gyoza and sides. This place is great if you want to experience an Izakaya restaurant while in Japan. We came on a Thursday night and didn’t have to wait to be seated. The only complaint I have is that the staff took a long time to bring our check.

Great for late lunch Gyoza - Edit
Kakekomi had enough to satisfy both meat eaters and veggies alike - it took us a little while to find it and we went up and down the street a few times - top tip - look at the picture someone has posted of the entrance!! The gyoza were freshly cooked and very tasty, we also had the draught beer which again was very nice. The restaurant itself is small and cosy and very traditional which we loved. The food gyoza were not only tasty but reasonably priced too - will definitely be returning!
