Fine juice chain for takeout

Juice Press has venues all across NYC. This is a very well run chain, with lots of healthy offerings, including juices and smoothies that are made to order, as well as pre-made items.

This branch of Juice Press has no outdoor seating and little indoor seating; it is largely for takeout, not dining in (except for a quick gulp). In addition to juices and the like, they have a decent selection of things like grab & go soups and salads.

Pros: Great for takeout

Cons: Not so great. for dining int

A convenient place with a lot of healthy and tasty options

This store in a chain featured soups, smoothies, juices, salads, and more. Many options were raw and it was easy to avoid bad ingredients. There was very limited seating, especially for a larger group. Everything is sold in to-go containers. Among the great items I tried in the course of three visits were an Egyptian Lentil Soup, two different salads, and two different smoothies. The availability of soups varied from day to day, while smoothies were made fresh in a matter of minutes. A variety of salads were ready in a refrigerator case to be purchased and eaten on the spot or to go. A nutrition-oriented place with an impressive menu. Chain now has locations all over New York City and in some other places in the region.

Pros: large selection, fresh, tasty, and healthy items, convenience

Cons: small store with no bathroom and limited seating

Great juices (but pricey)

This chain offers various organic juices with vegetable milks. Products are fresh and juices have a good taste. Prices are high (but consistent with this kind of products in NYC): around $10 for a juice. They use honey in some of them so beware if you are vegan.

Pros: great juices, quick service, fresh products

Cons: uses honey, pricey

Yummm

I recently visited Juice press, an organic, juice bar. There is minimal seating, and it is quite small, but I forgot about that when I tasted my wonderful acai bowl. It had almond butter, bananas and coconut shred on top.
