More About Me
Reasons why I prefer to eat vegetarian or vegan:
I eat vegan to boycott the meat and dairy industry. The horrors of these industry are appalling!
I joined HappyCow Members Community because:
To lend support to the vegan community.
Here are some places I've been that I liked... and places that I would like to visit one day:
Manhattan is a vegan's paradise. I've dined at and fell in love with; By Chloe, Blossom, Peacefood Cafe, Quintessence, Moaz, The Rice Cream Shoppe, and Chloe's Soft Serve Fruit, and Grome. One day I would love to visit Cookies and Scream in London
Some of my favorite veg*n foods include:
My all time favorite Vegan, raw food would have to be Banana Nice Cream.
Here are some books, movies, magazines, and my favorites that I would recommend to other HappyCow members:
A documentary I recommend is Cowpiracy. It is very eye opening and inspirational. At the end of April, my sister came home from college and told me she was transitioning into going vegan. I was totally against it. I tried to come up with a million reasons why she shouldn't go vegan. "It's not healthy." "It's expensive." "The food tastes horrible." Yes, I was one of the 'vegan haters'???? After she begged and begged me to watch a vegan documentary, I agreed to watch Cowspiracy. It was 1am in the morning, when I knew I wanted to go vegan. I had only watched 45min of the documentary, but my mind was set. I couldn't believe I never knew the truth of the meat industry. I lived in my fantasy of the animals living happy lives and when they died we ate them. No harm done. My little sweet dream world came to an end that night and I never ate meat, milk, eggs, or honey again.
