sushi is good - Edit
great place, reasonable price, indoor seatings but no restroom, if you're up for sushi and stuff would definitely go to enjoy at place or crab-n-go!
Pros: imba sushi, a lot to choose from
Cons: no restroom at place

best sushi ever - Edit
I'm a sushi fiend and really really missed getting good rolls in my small town in PA. I've been vegan for a year now, and plain cucumber and avocado can get boring during that time. But Beyond Sushi totally blew me out of the water for sushi!! It's better than anything I ever had. The waiting staff was great and super friendly as well. You know it's a good place when my skeptical, meat eating parents loved it too!
Pros: bang for your buck, dangerously delicious , super nice staff
Cons: minimal seating

Fresh, flavorful & funky - Edit
Great modern vegan twist on Sushi. I received more food than I expected (I had a lunch special - roll & entrée soup). The coconut curry was the perfect dish for a cold winters day.
Hubby (non-vegan) also impressed
Pros: Super fast service, Well presented, Delicious
Cons: Needs more seating

I would stop by and get a roll if I was in a pinch, but I wasn't impressed enough to make this a go-to spot. I've also been spoiled with Shojin in LA, so my vegan sushi expectations are quite high.
Pros: quick service

Vegan Sushis - Edit
At last, a sushi place where I can have every item on the menu.
Their sushis look beautiful. And the one I had was also good :) Also had a paper wrap and a drink, both very fresh and healthy.
The place got crowded very fast, if you are a party of more than 2 I wouldn't go to this location.
Pros: Fresh, Healthy
Cons: A bit pricey pricey, Not much seating

Brilliant Plant-Based "Sushi" - Edit
Where to begin? After a long day of airports and NYC traffic, we were delighted to find this gem just down the street from our hotel in Midtown Manhattan. The food was amazing--I personally sampled their Chic Pea roll, Spicy Mang roll, Curry Flower wrap, and kimchi--and the service was friendly and quick. I'm already looking forward to my next visit because I lost capacity long before I lost interest in their menu.
Pros: Food... everything was fresh and delicious., Fast service, Broad menu selection--rolls, bowls, soup, wraps
Cons: There's not one in the DFW area in Texas.

AMAZING sushi combos - Edit
Wonderful cafe with a huge range of flavour combinations. From Italian style sushi, to more Oriental varieties, there's a wealth of meals to explore. They also serve dumplings, wraps, and soups. Got the lunch sushi and dumpling combo for $12, drinks are around $4. 10/10 would sushi again
Pros: Lots of vegan options, Lots of flavours, Unique
Cons: Expensive drinks

Amazing food, nice atmosphere and friendly staff - Edit
During my 5 day stay in NYC I've been there three times, and got something different every time - and never was disappointed. Unique, delicious food for a good price, especially for NYC standarts; stop by if you can!

Good value sushi - Edit
Nice sushi place with a few tables located near Central Park. The food is prepared quickly and is one lf the cheapest vegan restaurant options in Manhattan. Sushis are good, though some were perhaps even too exotic for my taste (La Fiesta).

Delicious sushi - Edit
I went in for a quick takeout as we were staying around the corner. This is a small place with a few tables but the menus are easy to chose from with colourful photos. I chose the sweet tree sushi roll, which was a lovely balance of sweetness and savoury with a yummy cayenne sauce. I also got the Badge dumplings - my mouth still waters when I think of these. To finish off, I got the coconut curry noodle soup - this was a little watery and the curry flavour was too mild for me. Definitely one of the more memorable vegan meals I've had during my few days in NY.
Fast and tasty - Edit
Small sit-down and very clear flavors in simple delicious foods. Not a place to stay for a sit down, but great while on a city walk.

small place with massive flavor! - Edit
This sushi joint is so colorful and welcoming you just want to stay. Not only is everything so fresh that you can watch them make it behind the counter, but the flavor creativity that each roll has is truly an art form. The colors, textures and tastes make this place great for anyone no matter what food preference they have.

Brilliant! - Edit
Creative, appealing, delightfull,...and so on. The only boring thing about this place would be this redundant review. But really, if you are vegan and you miss a little bit the colors and fresh tast of raw fish sushi, this place will open you a whole different world of culinary emotions and make you forget the fish. Mushrooms, pickles, beetroot, beans, baby greens, ... With delicious and healthy sauces. If only every city in the world could have a sushi like this! The best go-vegan commercial ever, also from a culinary and healthy point of view! Bravo!
Pros: Tasty, Good value, Creative
Cons: Not in lugano, Too good, Addictive

It's so hard to find great vegan sushi that isn't boring, in NYC or anywhere. Beyond sushi was a breath of fresh air. Clean and delicious.

Loved the creative rolls, very friendly service, do for carry out, they don't have much seating if any. Hope this becomes a nation wide chain someday so we can stop fishing the oceans!
Pros: very nice service, good vegan food, creative and adventurous
Cons: not much sit down, menu a little confusing

Wish there was a place like this in Atlanta!! Everything was prepared with perfection as sushi should be. The desserts (yes, we had to try all of them) were AWESOME!

inventive, fun and healthy - Edit
The food was very healthy and inventive. It could have done with just a bit more fat for my taste but it was a great experience and the staff were the loveliest I have come across. As soon as we walked in the door we were greeted by the manager who spent a couple of minutes explaining how the menu worked. This was extremely helpful.

Pleasant vegan shushi - Edit
This small restaurant offers a nice selection of vegan sushi and related foods. Taste and quality were quite good. We had the crunch n munch roll, nutty buddy wrap, and the salad of the month, plus several desserts. The selection of desserts were very appetizing. There is limited seating, a fast food setup. An excellent vegan eatery.
Pros: vegan

BEST SUSHI EVER. - Edit
I loved sushi before I became vegan, but this sushi is still the best I've ever had. Other vegan sushis I've had are very simple and plain, but this sushi is not missing anything! It's so flavorful and unique. I loved it!!! I went to NYC and had beyond sushi two days in a row. It was that good! Good prices as well.
Pros: DELICIOUS!, Cute place, Good prices

Totally yummy - Edit
twice I have eaten here in two days while on a week long visit. I have had the mango roll, the fungi roll and the nutty buddy. The establishment is easy to find, convenient, clean and with a very nice staff. Love it. Oh yes, the cucumber, mint lemonade is pretty great too. I plan to go back n Saturday when I go to MoMa
Pros: Friendly, Delicious, Clean and Quiet
Cons: can't think of any

The sushi looked gorgeous and tasted great - Edit
This clean, quiet place was a fantastic contrast to the very busy overcrowded places on Times Square. It is geared more towards a quick bite rather than an intimate, lengthy meal. Everything was vegan so the choice should have been easy, but there was lot of choice and everything sounded really good (making it tough).
We chose one of the mixed plates with 4 different types of roll and 4 individual 'special pieces'. It arrived quickly and there was tonnes of food (with 8 pieces of sushi for each of the 4 rolls + the 4 special pieces), the looked colourful and really appetising.
The sushi was really fresh and tasty and there was a good mix of flavours. We also had some of the lemonade, again, very tasty and fresh. It was pretty inexpensive. I'd eat here again.
Pros: lots of choice, tasted good, inexpensive
