Wide choice and delicious - Edit
There's always been a large number of vegan options here but it seems to have expanded even further recently. I'm not keen personally on sushi or fake fish but there are so many other dishes to choose from I still struggle to choose. The Agedashi Aubergine is one of my favourite dishes ever.
Read moreIt's a small and popular place so book ahead. It's cosy and the staff are friendly. It's not cheap - but I do order a lot of dishes (3 small & 1 main typically) and can't resist a sake flight....
Pros: Lots of choice., So tasty., Great cosy atmosphere.

Okay - Edit
I don't think there are any good Japanese places in Nottingham at all. Although this one was okay it wasn't very flavourful. I also thought the fake salmon was really odd. The matcha tiramissu was also super inconsistent with parts of it being really bitter because of the matcha.
Read moreI tried the nasu nanban donburi and it was fine, it tastes sour kinda like pickles but it was still good. I really enjoyed the texture of the rice although still I didn’t think the food was spectacular.

Hi there! I happen to work here as a waitress and am a vegan, so not to be biased but I think the veggies options here are incredible!! I think it's easily the best japanese restaurant in Nottingham, if not the best one I've tried anywhere. If you happen to come again, I can recommend the nasu nanban donburi, vegetable gyoza, and egg rolls (not vegan but I've hear great things!) to name a few. I personally love the vegan sushi selection but understand it's not to everyone's tastes. My boss has worked incredibly hard to provide many vegetarian and vegan options, whilst still maintaining Japanese authenticity, so please do feel free to try us out again! 😊🇯🇵

Should get 5 stars… - Edit
We lived in Tokyo for a year and this is absolutely hands down the best Japanese food we’ve had outside of Japan. Really authentic, delicious flavors, and tons of vegan options. It’s a small place, so book ahead if you want to eat on a Fri/Sat nights.

Lovely place - Edit
Very cute place to eat at, I tried food that I never have before and it was all really good. I had the kakiage donburi that was really good and the vegan shrimp maki was amazing. The kinako mochi as desert was also really tasty. There was really lovely vegan staff too that helped us know what was vegan out of the deserts.

Amazing food! - Edit
As you can expect, it's presented impeccably well. The vegan options are plentiful, and I've tried basically every single one. The bento boxes are beautiful, the sushi, miso soup, and tofu steak are all amazing. Pricey, as you'd expect from Japanese food, but well worth it.
