Not a place for vegans

only a couple dishes for vegans, some of these are vegetarian with vegans options, which involve taking the vegetarian dish and removing part of it to make it vegan but keeping it the same price.

Extremely Disappointing

Oh dear. A restaurant that clearly doesn’t understand what being a vegan means. First dish to arrive was (vegan) frites. The frites were very good, but it was somewhat alarming that the waiting staff thought aioli was vegan. The first alarm bell rang at this point.

Second dish of sweet potato arrived with feta (not vegan feta) and, after 10 minutes it was removed from the table (a huge discussion had taken place between the kitchen staff and the waiting staff as to who was at fault). It was replaced by the same dish, without feta - but to compensate for the lack of feta, it had been totally swamped with coriander. It was really not very nice at all.

The final straw was our order of 2 x half pints of lager, which arrived as 2 pints! I rarely complain, but felt compelled to speak to the staff, having been completely let down as a vegan.

The menu online looked promising, so it was not good to see only 3 vegan option dishes available. And then, they managed to completely get it wrong.

In their defence, the gnocchi dish was excellent, even though they provided the Parmesan on the side in case I wanted it! I think it’s my worst ever experience eating out as a vegan.

I complained halfway through the meal, and the beers and the unpleasant sweet potato dish were removed from the bill.

I have friends who think this is an excellent restaurant, but I will not be returning after such an unpleasant experience.

Pros: Still trying to think of something….

Cons: No understanding of veganism

Good food

Was food and it was a good price point too!

Skip the cashews and halloumi tbh. I loved the port creamed mushrooms and Mexican potatoes

Lovely food

Really great place that is currently doing delivery only. Vegan dishes plus others that can be adapted and helpful owners. The portions are massive and much bigger than traditional tapas
