Pros: Serveren enkel plantaardige melk, Vegan gebak, Ruime keuze

Cons: Te duur, Enkel wegwerpbekers, Wc enkel voor klanten

All vegan

It was about time that Ostend got a vegan coffee place. I like it here, everything is vegan and there is a very large choice of drinks. Also, you're not rushed here. You can come in for a cosy long talk with friends, to do some (laptop) work, read a book or for a quick take away.

Pros: All vegan, Several plantbased milks

Cons: Only disposable cups (you can bring your own)

Nice options

All cakes are vegan and the staff is friendly, quite pricey (6€ for a small piece of cake and 5€ for a muffin). As the place is right in the center and the cakes are not labelled vegan, they do run out of options as the day goes on, I came on a sunny Sunday in the early afternoon and they only had 4 pieces of different cakes and 1 muffin left. I had the hazelnut muffin, which felt a bit dry after the first bite but then the cocolatey flavour came through and it was really nice!

Too expensive

We paid 26 euros for 3 drinks (just the regular ones) and 3 pieces of cake (brownie and muffin)… It’s not even a cosy place, but just another coffee chain. Won’t come back !

All pastry is vegan

Nice to see that all their pastry is vegan.
Unfortunately, when we visited, the only offer was a cookie and a brownie - the rest was out of stock (more available in the weekend we were told). Pity.

Cookie, brownie and coffee were nice, albeit on the expensive side.

Limited seating inside, and we had a long queue to order (wait).
Not accessible - one large stept to get in.

Modern place.

Pros: all pastry is vegan, variety of plantbased barista milks for coffee

Cons: limited offer of pastry that day, long queue, limited seating inside, not accessible

Unexpectedly large vegan assortment

Walked into this coffee shop with my mum expecting to only have a drink. There's usually no vegan-friendly options when we're out for an afternoon, so I've stopped looking at the menu expecting something to magically appear ... although this time it did!

They serve a large offering of coffee-based drinks, which can all be made with your choice of plant milk (I believe soy, oat and coconut were on offer), some teas and a small selection of juices/sodas. On the menu 'vegan raw cakes' were mentioned, but to my surprise all their sweets are vegan. The very friendly and helpful barista was up for a chat. She explained they focus on their quality coffee and work with other (Belgian) suppliers for the snacks/food, so each can play within their own strengths. Their supplier for cakes and cookies is Catberry vegan pastry, the raw cakes are from Vali sweet but different. The shop is a Belgian enterprise born out of a truck and now grown into an 8-location chain. This location opened just two months ago. They are planning on expanding into railway stations through a crowd investment campaign.

I had an oat chai latte and a frangipane/raspberry cake. They also had brownies, banana/blueberry muffins, carrot cake, a cake of the week (biscotti at the time) and an assortment of cookies. For the price of €4, you get a substantial piece of cake that serves as a satisfying afternoon snack. I didn't get into the raw cakes, but they do seem tiny. They also have a small assortment of wraps (not vegan) and salads (a vegan penne pesto and a sweet potato option) from Foodmakers.

The shop is geared towards people who make a quick stop. Seating is limited but varied. Shame the lounge was taken, the bar stools weren't very comfortable. They serve everything in disposable cups, even the cakes came in a cardboard (?) box. You order at the counter.

Overall a very pleasant discovery. I'll definitely look for their other venues when I'll out and about!

Very yummy, bit overprized though

They have a huge variety of hot and cold coffee-beverages that can all be served vegan, you can choose from 4 types of plant based milk.
I had a pumpkin spiced latte and the raw chocolate cake. Both were reeeally delicious. I think that especially the cake is quite overpriced though, with 4€ for a little piece.

Also, the toilet is really nice!
