Just okay - Edit
It's an average spot, best saved for when you're really in need of a meal. In my opinion, Ippudo in the US offers a much better experience.

Closing Time disappointment - Edit
We were looking for vegetarian dinner options in Lumine Est, at 840 pm at night & found Ippudo in HC. Excited & in anticipation of a great meal, my husband and I trekked out 20 mins by foot (after a long day of sightseeing) to the restaurant. The closing time stated on both Google & HC was 10 pm - we arrived at 9.33 pm, and were turned away at the door. Why state that your opening hours are until 10 pm, in multiple places, when you don't take orders after 9.30 pm. For travellers who are unfamiliar with the place, this is an extremely poor experience.

Good ramen! - Edit
They have three different kinds of ramen and gyoza. We tried the kontatsu ramen and it was really good. The soup is creamy and flavorful. The location is set inside a mall in shinjuku (lumine est) in the top floor!

A few ramen options - misleading name though - Edit
I'll start with the name. I feel like calling a restaurant a plant based studio implies that you're a plant based restaurant. I appreciate this may be their branch with the most plant based options but I'm still not on board with the name!
Read moreThe food. There were 3 options for vegan ramen and a side of vegan gyoza. My partner and I both went for the vegan tonkotsu and enjoyed the dish. The broth was rich and creamy (as I believe a tonkotsu should be) and we enjoyed the flavour a lot. There were a couple of big slices of fried tofu which I enjoyed. They weren't really close to any sort of mock meat texture but they were tasty. The other toppings were generally fine, adding a bit of texture. I wasn't a big fan of the big piece of tomato though. As always, there were plenty of tasty noodles.
The gyoza were fine. They didn't have a huge amount of flavour so a dip in the sauce felt necessary.

The vegan tonkotsu ramen was delicious!! The soup in particular is fantastic. The gyoza were good too. Nice seating area, very friendly staff, free water AND iced rooibos tea served in human-sized cups! Loved my meal here ❤️

Good Ramen - Edit
The Ramen was good, but in my opinion was the broth a bit bland. The Tonkotsu was extremly delicious and I loved that they offered them as an extra in their Ramen (Most Ramen places we ate at were more like noodles and broth, but no extra meat alternative). The Store is located in a big shopping mall and it was a bit difficult to find, it's the highest floor.

Tasty ramen - Edit
Vegan options are clearly labeled, and menus are available in English. I had the Miraton, which is a vegan tonkotsu ramen, and some gyoza. Both were delicious, and the portion sizes were great. Well priced, too. It's on the 8th floor of the mall.

Good - Edit
This restaurant is inside the Lumine Est shopping mall. They had several vegan ramen options and gyozas as well. The broth was really good, but the soy meat didn’t taste like much. Not the best vegan ramen in Tokyo but a nice option to have if you’re nearby.

Veggie Tonkotsu & Gyozas - Edit
All in all pretty good, but nothing special! Both gyozas and ramen tasted a bit “flat”, but you can add some spices to enhance the broth! Convenient location and a lot of space in the restaurant 👍🏻

Good enough - Edit
I had the creamy broth ramen, it was good! A little bland for me, had to add extra spice on top! But a great option for vegan/vegetarian. Also this did not have onion or garlic in the broth!

A must to try the limited edition ramen, KINOPOTA is a creamy mushroom flavor. - Edit
A new plant-based ramen has been launched as a limited edition. The combination of rich and flavorful mushroom soup and ramen noodles is a perfect match. Toppings are a great way to enjoy different flavors. I would highly recommend!

Great ramen and gyoza - Edit
Tried the vegan tonkotsu ramen which was topped with various veg and tofu (mocking meat).
Read moreThe soup was creamy and flavourful, not too salty making it an easy and enjoyable meal.
Two vegan options plus vegan gyoza, all clearly labelled and the staff spoke English.
There was a autumn special which was a vegan mushroom ramen so depending on when you go, you may get to choose from three ramens.
Quick service and plenty of seating area so you are likely to get a seat!
Pros: Nice food , Good portion size , Free rooibos tea

This is your average ramen for your average Joe. If you haven't tried ramen before, then go for it. If you have, then I'd suggest going to some other place nearby(like Kakekomi gyoza).
Pros: Cozy atmosphere, Free tea

Best ramen in Tokyo!! - Edit
I used to eat their ramen at their other locations when they had the vegan ramen as a limited menu. So happy they opened a separate store where we can have the vegan ramen all the time now!! And they extended their vegan menu! Always nice to have options!

Great plant based ramen - Edit
This restaurant is on floor 8 of Lumine Est, accessed via the entrance of Shinjuku Station. It was hard to find, as the escalators only got to floor 7. From there, you have to either wait for the lift or find the staircase, which isn't clearly marked. You order and pay at the counter and are given a buzzer that vibrates when your food is ready. The menu is clearly marked with plant based choices, and the service was quick and efficient. The ramen was great, full of flavour and delicious. We had some really tasty vegan gyoza and washed it all down with a beer. It's probably the 2nd best ramen I have had in Japan so far.
Read moreThey serve meat ramen also, which pleased the meat eater our party.
The only downside is that it is brightly lit, more of a cafe/canteen experience with little atmosphere, but to be expected in a shopping mall.
