Screamadelica

Post gig pizza with fellow ambassador hack_man. We shared two vegan 14" pizzas, which were the truffle in paradise and veggie supreme for just £10 each during happy hour (4pm-6:30pm).

The truffle in paradise pizza was definitely the better of the two and I loved the truffle cream, caramelised fennel and toasted pumpkin seeds toppings. The veggie supreme was also delicious, with an array of toppings.

Top pizza

First tried this place from their van outside The Free Trade Inn in Newcastle, where they only had a marinara on offer. Even then, the base and sauce were outstanding, and I managed to visit a couple more times.

Post-gig cold pizza with @hack_man was surprisingly great! While the menu has limited options, it’s a must-try if you’re a pizza lover.

Pros: ethos, pizza

They’ve Nailed it

Located in the beautifully restored Sheepfolds complex very close to the Stadium of Light this place appears to be a gold mine. From the days of the pizza van at Free Trade which still operates they now have 3 permanent premises including the most recent addition in Sunderland. The vegan choice is very good and the pizzas never ever disappoint. We picked a take away on this occasion for convenience but my next aim is to take advantage of the some of their midweek offers like any 20” pizza for £10 between 4-6pm which hopefully will be a long standing one.

Pros: Fantastic premises, Plenty of seating

Cons: Booking is advised , When busy, only slices may be available
