Expensive but good base

Nice venue. Pizza base was good, but only 2 vegan (no cheese options) on the menu. Thought £13 was a bit expensive for a vegan option with no included veg toppings.

Not a place I would return unless they offer more Vegan choices. Had better elsewhere.

Pros: lively venue , allergen aware venue

Cons: limited vegan options , Not value for vegan options

So impressed!

Wanted to try here for ages and came with a big group & we were really well looked after. Vegan pizza was delicious as was my mocktail & the garlic potatoes they gave us. Staff are proper friendly too

Plantface Killah!

We really enjoyed our experience at Wild Fire where we shared the Wild Mushroom Arancini starter, and the White Vegan and Plantface Killah pizzas.

The wild mushroom arancini starter was exceptional and bursting with flavour, whilst both pizzas were delicious. We particularly liked the spicy vegan nduja on the Plantface Killah pizza, and the lashings of fresh garlic on the White Vegan pizza.

Staff are friendly and interior is inviting, but I would love to see further vegan options added to the menu, preferably with vegan cheese. No vegan desserts either.

On a river where they used to build the boats

After a hugely successful long term residency at the fabulous Good Ship Isis bar in Sunderland which began in the “Covid” years , Wild Fire now have their own brick and mortar premises in Deptford by the banks of the River Wear. The mushroom arancini starter was something out of a fantasy. Pizza here is sensational. My very close Italian friend who is always dubious about eating pizza in a non-Italian place said it was exceptional. I had a Plantface Killah which had delicious dollops of spicy vegan nduja and burrata scattered on a perfectly presented sour dough bread with lashings of San Marzano pomodoro base, garlic oil and oregano. I could easily have eaten two. We also had Blueprint Pizza with mushrooms which was laced with fresh garlic. Banging. Skipped on desserts as always these days but there were vegan options available for those that wish to indulge in such entanglements. Hugely popular, booking is essential. I’m already booked to go again. Give it a gan.

Pros: nice atmosphere , excellent pizza , good selection of VG wines
