American nostalgia

They have mac n cheese (made on site). Order extra vegan cheese otherwise it will be mostly buttery and cheese. See picture.

We Walked Out

I was excited to try this place but ended up very disappointed. You know what you walk into somewhere and all you see is red flags? That was my experience here. Both people working didn’t know what they were doing. The girl asked me what I wanted and when I asked for something off the menu she just stared at me with her jaw slightly open looking confused. She asked if I wanted sourdough or wheat. I asked “is the sourdough vegan?” She said idk and asked her coworker. He said “I don’t think the bread is vegan. We have gluten free stuff.” I ended up going with the wheat because the vegan menu item I order said wheat. She got my bread without changing her gloves after I watched her putting raw meat into the previous customers bowl. She kept touching her hair, face, and pants. I asked her to change her gloves, she did, then she proceeded to get my partners order and touch raw meat again then go back to my order. Her hair was in a LONG pony tail to the side. We’re talking hip length so whenever she bent to get food her hair watch touching it and the counters. Meanwhile the man answered the phone with his gloves, put the phone down, and went right back to touching food. The girl was lost every step of the way. She got the beyond patty out, heated it however they do for less than a minute, plopped it on the melt bright pink and clearly raw… that’s when we left. I’d hope that she planned to cook it longer with the rest of the melt but those patties are over an inch thick so it would either still be raw from being toasted or the bread would burn while attempting to cook it. This place is a big fat no. Do not trust them to make their food. It’s unsanitary, no effort to avoid cross contamination, and the employees are uneducated on what’s vegan and what’s not.

Pros: It’s a cool idea

Cons: Unsanitary, Uneducated workers, Expensive
