May not be able to trust

I’ve been to Picazzo’s many times and enjoyed my vegan food. I recently went and ordered what I usually get (vegan meatball marinara) and they gave me turkey meatballs. As soon as I got it I knew it was meat and not what I usually get. I told the waitress and I sent it back. She brought it back to me and said that the chef said it was 100% vegan. I ate some and let my date try it who was a meat eater. He agreed that it was meat. The texture was tougher than plant based meats. I just ate some of the pasta and let rest of my food sit there. I should have talk to a manager and still may when I go alone. That day I was on a first date. I had already sent my food back and didn’t want to make a scene. Now I will be hesitant to eat there again. Luckily I’m vegan by choice and have been for many years. It would have been very dangerous if my diet choice was for health. Very irresponsible of them especially since they are an allergy and diet conscious restaurant.

Pros: Gluten free options , Vegan menu , Good ambiance

Cons: Possible chance of getting animal products

Huge vegan menu

Make sure to ask for their vegan menu. 100% what they have on their menu, even those that are not vegan, are gluten-free. Didn’t matter to us, but it is something to make note of. According to our waitress this location has been open for approximately 18 years and they’re just about ready to expand to Utah. The corporation has many different locations in Arizona and has been in business for 20 years, so they must be doing something right. Very busy for a Wednesday night. I really enjoyed the flavor and presentation, but felt like the non-vegan dishes had larger portions. I might’ve just been a little hungry, hence my perception. I also felt that their pasta was a little overcooked, but that was outweighed by the scrumptious flavor. What I do know is that I so appreciate that they have a vegan menu with oodles of options and that our server, Sophia, was a pure delight. Would definitely recommend for those that are looking for a nice sit down dinner option.

Pros: Vegan menu offers a lot of options- great flavor, Attentive staff , Inside/outside seating- great sit down dinner loc

Cons: Expensive dinners- on small size for portions, Pasta slightly over cooked

Picazzo's Healthy Italian Kitchen

I had eaten at Picazzo's in Sedona several times in the past and remembered it as being healthy-ish Italian food with lots of vegan options....still true today.

During my last visit, I was overwhelmed by the array of vegan options (a good thing) and landed on a vegan soup and vegan bianca. The soup was OK, as was the vegan bianca pasta. The reason I am giving a three star rating is because my pasta was overcooked, which is something I remembered about my last experience eating at this location. I would expect an Italian place to have cooking time nailed down for pasta to avoid serving their customers mushy/soft noodles. Had the server come by and asked about the food, I would have told her the noodles were overcooked.

Good food with lots of options

They have a full vegan menu! There were several options it was like a dream come true. The food is decently priced for the amount of food you get. The service was alright, could have been better but it looked like the waitress was the only one working when we went. It was on the bit more expensive side for me but I think for healthy Italian food, it was a nice treat.

I got the Vegan Spicy Thai Peanut Chicken and it was very good. The price is not too bad. Portion size is good. The best part about this place is that they have a Vegan menu with many options. And it’s close to where I work!

Many vegan options!

I always like Picazzo's. The menu labels the vegan options and the items that can be modified to be vegan. It even labels vegan wine. The options include vegan appetizers, salads, soup, pizza, pasta, and quinoa bowls. The food isn't amazing, but it is consistently good. They have several locations. The staff is knowledgeable.

Pros: Vegan items labeled. , Lots of options. , Vegan meat and cheese.

Excellent vegan experience in a non-vegan restaurant

Coming from out of town, happy to be directed to this place by Happy Cow. Very friendly staff, awesome vegan options clearly labelled, many options and easy to find location. Very pleased!

Tasty Vegan Italian Cuisine

I've passed this place by every single day for over a year. I saw them advertising vegan options so I finally decided to give them a try.

Appetizer:
I got the vegan chicken strips served "Super Hot Chipotle" style. They are baked, not fried, and they use the Beyond Meat brand. Very tasty & perfectly spiced. I expected it to be very spicy, with that name, but it wasn't. At all. But to be fair, I do have a high spice level tolerance. It came with vegan ranch, celery & an apple piece.

The vegan strips come in NINE different flavors, which I think is amazing! I will definitely go back to try more flavors. Over $11 for this appetizer, which is almost the cost of a full pasta entree; a bit too high in my opinion, especially for the portion size.

Entree:
I opted for the vegan Chicken Picatta pasta dish. The pasta was cooked and seasoned to perfection. The garlic, lemon, and capers offered a nice burst of flavor for my tastebuds, and the presence of the Beyond Meat Chicken was plentiful in this dish. It came with a slice of vegan garlic bread. Very filling and delicious. @ $14 for this dish.

I also got a side of Tender Broccoli Crowns. For $6.50, I got @ 5 or 6 pieces of organic broccoli. Nicely seasoned & crunchy crowns, but nothing special. I can make better at home, for less, and I can't cook.

The waitress brought my check without first asking if I wanted anything else, like dessert. I didn't like that.

The restaurant is nicely decorated & clean. Really nice and large patio area. Bar area with TV.

I spoke with the head chef and she advised me that they use separate utensils and even separate ovens for the vegan options.

Tons of vegan pasta & pizza options (the website boasts that they have over 40 vegan options), lots of organic goods, 98% gluten free, & they support local businesses. I'd definitely recommend them for anything from family outings to business lunches or date night.

Located right off of FLW (can be seen from the street). If coming from N Scottsdale Rd & traveling east on FLW, it's the 1st entrance into the Promenade shopping center.
