They had delicious gluten free pita bread, which was a delightful surprise, and the hummus is sooo good. We had some of the side dishes as well, and they were really good. Their falafels aren’t as good as El Piano’s falafels, but they’re good!

Great food, simple but filling - Edit
This is the second one of these I have visited and the high quality food transfers between branches. This one is in a partnership shop with a doughnut company. Be aware that some of the doughnuts are not vegan although there is a good selection of vegan ones. Some seating available inside. Food excellent salad hummus bowl had a great selection of flavours. Nice pittas as well.

Humpit is such a good place to go to grab an easy bite to eat! The staff is alway incredibly friendly and the food is served quickly as it is made to order from a filling station. Great variety in options for a reasonable price!

I had a filled pita. The staff member who took the order was friendly. I enjoyed the taste, but found there wasn't as much filling as at other places. It didn't fill the sides of the pita and there were three relatively small falafels.

Had the Humpit eat in deal which was a humus bowl, side, pita and drink. Between us we had cauliflower and sweet potato fries as sides. It was extremely busy but service was quick and friendly. The food was delicious and served hot and fresh. I was really impressed by how lovely the staff were. Made us feel like welcome new friends and were knowledgeable and efficient. It's service like that which makes people want to visit againn and again. We will certainly be back on our next trip to York!

Despite this, worth the 5 stars for the spectacularly tasty food, and the very fast service despite it being pretty busy.
Also there's a drainpipe right outside that you can lock your bike to.

Fantastic hummus and pita bar. We had the shakshuka and hummus meal deal, which was a hummus falafel bowl, bean salad and a drink. We got a mint drink. Both meals were delicious and flavoursome, especially the shakshuka. Staff are very friendly and it's definitely a place to visit when in York.

Went in and asked if they had any vegan items and was so happy when they said everything as it smelt so delicious! I chose the meal deal of drink, pitta, houmous bowl and a side of salsa. It was beyond amazing. The falafels and pitta are the best I have ever had without a doubt. The atmosphere is inviting, the staff extremely friendly and the food is outstanding. Would highly recommend a visit.

Where to start? This is amazing, I had the filled pitta as a take away. Massively stuffed pitta with hummus, falafel, tomato, sauerkraut and salad. Unbelievable. It's not a snack, it's nearly a meal. Loved it!!

This is a great little spot with fantastic hummus. Food is served quickly and tastes excellent. There was a bit less hummus than I expected in the hummus bowl, but it ended up being the perfect amount. Nothing fancy, but tastes good and is served quickly by friendly staff. Prices are good; very reasonable for the amount of food you get.

As far as vegan food goes, falafel and hummus is pretty much the easiest dish you can serve and it can get a little boring after a while, but Humpit take it to the next level! A huge warm pitta filled with layers of falafel, hummus, salad, slaw, sauerkraut, and pickles - it's definitely one of the best falafel and hummus meals I've had. Cheap, cheerful and absolutely delicious.
