Read moreFirst of all they always ask whether you want the vegan or the standard menu (yes there is an entire vegan menu) straight away. And the options are amazing, ranging from savoury to sweet to build your own.
I have quite the sweet tooth so my favourite has to be the "risk it for a biscuit" which doesn't just have a great name but also tastes amazing. I mean oreos, biscoff, jammie dodgers, AND vegan ice cream, what's not to love.
Having been with my sister recently, we branched out and went for a savoury option alongside a sweet one, and it did not disappoint.
We got the "BBQ melt" (delicious) on one occasion, and the "smokey dutch" (really nice onion flavour throughout) on another.
If going with a friend, I would highly recommend sharing one sweet and one savoury, then you can have the best of both worlds.
BUT, not only is the food amazing the vegan milkshakes they offer are incredible too! I have tried various flavours and have enjoyed them all, top would probably be the strawberry or raspberry and white chocolate one (so good).
So, if you're ever in York and feeling peckish, this is the definitely the place to try!

Very vegan-friendly! We were immediately asked if we wanted the vegan or regular menu, which was a great start. The staff was super friendly, the selection of vegan options is huge, and everything we tried was really tasty. Definitely recommend!

The staff were all friendly and helpful and didn't mind waiting a little longer while we tried decide which option to choose

I always loved pancakes so it’s great to find a place serving vegan ones! A separate menu gives you a lot of options, both savoury and sweet. The cafe is right in the centre, easy to find from all the main tourist spots. It’s quite small so go early for breakfast!

I'd never had a pancake before, especially not a savoury vegan one. I was delighted to see a full vegan menu, with so many options. I opted for 'The Veg One' and it was delicious. Like nothing I'd tried before, I could compare it to a lighter pizza; really nice.

The lightest and tastiest pancakes ever - Edit
I was a little worried before we came here that like most dessert places there would only be a couple of vegan options, but they ended up having an entire menu! So many of their food and drinks can be made vegan and the staff were very knowledgable on what I could and couldnt have. I ended up going for a pistachio hot chocolate (which was out of this world) and a build your own pancake with peanut butter and butterscotch sauce. The pancakes were so light and presented so beautifully. The server we had was also so so lovely and made the experience even better!

Enjoyed a breakfast pancake (served all day) with berry compote, maple syrup and vegan yogurt. It was really nice but I think it was a little expensive. They have a big vegan range on the menu which is great to see.

Read moreI had a savoury and a sweet pancake and they were both really really tasty but the highlight for me was the pear and hazelnut sweet one. The vegan nutella is absolutely to die for!!!
Staff were all really friendly too.
Only downside I would say it's quite expensive for how much food you get, it's not very filling.
