House of wonders has a couple of vegan and gluten free options. They have a large roof top terrace and also seats outside in front. Always enhoy going there.

Not the best vegan food I’ve had, but I loved the whole vibe of the place. There’s a vegan sushi option and several others but you have to ask which ones they are. The only complaint I have is the pigeons that nearly fly against you during your meal and dominate the place

Read moreWe went twice in one day. We had the green salad with rice & bean burrito, portobello, stuffed pepper, Buddha bowl, lentil stew and curry. We haven’t been disappointed. Every dish has so much color and variety it’s like art.
Most dishes can be made vegan. Half or more of the desserts are vegan. Love love this place.

10 days in Portugal - Edit
We’ve been in Portugal for 10 days and on our tour to Sintra our tour guide stoped in Cascais for lunch. He recommended this place and it was the best meal I had in Portugal. They have all the menu items on display so you can order with your eyes. Great patio to enjoy lunch.

Best tasting and filling vegan cuisine I’ve had outside my own kitchen by far. Plus they had delicious juices and desserts. All served on a rooftop garden bar. So many gluten free options!!!!

I would give 6 stars if I could! Excellent exterior patio! The idea of being able to see all the dishes and choose was original and very convenient! The food was amazing! We were not hungry but we chose one dish because we desperately wanted to try something. The place is unique and the creator definitely put her love, her passion and her heart into this place. Wish I could come again!!

The food and ambience deserves five stars. Both the terrace outside as well as the roof are beautiful, everything is colorful and there are many plants..a place where you feel good. The food we tried was also delicious and the staff extremely kind and willing to explain the different meals etc, the concept of choosing a dish by eye was also very fun and unique!
Read moreTaking one star off however because it's not very disability friendly for people hard of hearing and the concept can be overwhelming for people with anxiety or just everyone who isn't a fluent portuguese and english speaker too. Having the different meals of the day written down somewhere if only on a blackboard by the table where you order would be really helpful I think!
But anyways, even with those hurdles it's definitely worth to go! It's delicious and healthy and an experience to remember

A completely vegetarian restaurant with vegan meals as well as meals that can be made vegan. All dishes are showed on a table in the restaurant where you need to order as well. The staff was really nice and explained the dishes to me. There vegan main dishes cold and warm, vegan drinks qs well as vegan desserts :)

We had the burger and curry, both taste amazing. We like spicy so we asked for extra hot sauce. Their food is vegetarian, make sure you ask them to make it vegan for you. Very tasty. Staff are friendly and professional.

Lovely vegetarian / vegan place with a rooftop terrace and healthy wholesome food. Very unique experience where it is a visual menu, which helps to see exactly what is put in each dish. It would have helped for them to have labels or something next to it though; as when it gets busy the servers would have to repeat things often or you have to wait a while to be explained how the process all works. Really colourful food and cool atmosphere. Lunch costs €12.75 where you can order one big dish eg. Buddha bowl, sushi platter, shakshuka, or a smaller ‘main’ with your choice of salad-y accompaniment on the plate. At least half of the menu is vegan or can be made vegan (eg just without the cheese on top).

The establishment is so charming with the 2 rooftops, and the staff is very sweet and kind. They present all of their menu in a table and say to “choose with your eyes”, but when I asked if anything was vegan, they explained to me with very much detail and told me every possible option. I’d say eating here is a whole experience combining the amazing views of Cascais (which I discovered that very same day and loved) and amazing food which is healthy and fulfilling.

Great experience here. Visual menu was neat. Host was informative and took his time explaining each dish to us, including what could be made vegan. Everything was delicious. I had the Buddha protein bowl, my omnivore husband had the mushroom crepe and soup. Also nice to have a creative healthy meal instead of vegan junk food which has become so popular nowadays.
Read moreThere are three seating areas on three different levels. Rooftop has a nice view. The ‘garden’ was quaint with a bohemian vibe. We also shared a pitcher of rose sangria which basically becomes a fruit salad once you drink it all. We would both go back.

Staff is very familiar with vegan options. The food was very tasty and filling. Loved all the veggies that you could order with it. The fresh juices were nice too, the yellow one tastes very sweet. I liked it more than the orange one since that had a bit too much ginger in it for my taste. Wish I could have tried the vegan coconut cake but was not allowed to order it with the main meal because of fear of food waste, which I thought was a bit odd. Afterwards we felt it was too inconvenient to order it so we moved on. But I still longed for it since it looked so good...💔 For some the visual menu could give you ordering anxiety if you are bad at choosing from multiple good options "under pressure".

I went there twice in a row for breakfast and for lunch and I would have returned afain if they had more vegan options apart from the salads and what I tried. For the dessert there are more vegan options but for lunch and breakfast many items have eggs and cheese :(

Food concepts are neat and if done right could be really awesome, but the execution was poor. Quality control of the food was lacking. When fresh veggies and fruits are the star, they must be impeccably fresh and sadly this was not the case. This was my second time here (2019 first, 2022 second) and my first time we had cooked entrees which were just okay, nothing to write home about. This time we got salads which had fruit topping. Although the baked falafel was fine, the greens weren't sorted therefore had slimy bits throughout the big salad, the apples were browning and the oranges were slimy/questionable. Also they include cheese in my vegan requested salad 😨. The staff were super friendly and handled it well (said a refrigerator problem?) and although we sent the food back, they comped our wine. A kind gesture. Nice place for a drink but I don't think I'll try the food again, sadly. I really wanted to love their food because they are really a funky-cool place in so many ways, besides the food.

O único contra é que o restaurante era definitivamente muito caro (quase 17€ por uma entrada e um prato principal). Um restaurante para voltar em ocasiões especiais😄
