A tasty vegan lunch - Edit
Really enjoyed my lunch here. The vegan options aren’t displayed on the main menu, you have to explicitly ask for the vegan menu. Multiple vegan options, really helpful staff. Try the vegan haggis.

Friendly&tasty - Edit
As a big fan of scones and cream tea we were happy to get there a nice selection of teas and a fresh&warm scone with vegan spread and jam. Also the vegan scone is only half the size than the common ones (don't know if they have different prices) it was very tasty. They also have cakes, snacks, milk alternatives... just ask for their vegan menue. Small dogs are allowed.

Probably better fir a meal than just a scone and coffee - Edit
Separate vegan menu and very positive staff. Pricey as expected in a tourist hot spot but they didn't need to add 50p for d/f milk and the vegan scone was disappointing compared to what I saw served to other customers, tho ok in itself. They had 2 vegan loaf cakes and maybe I should have upgraded but those normal scones scones looked stunning..
Read moreMenu also offered a range of sandwiches and panini, a vegan tomato soup etc.
Pros: Positive staff attitude, Vegan menu, Nice space
Cons: Surcharge for d/f milks, Vegan scones significantly smaller and less appeal, Pricy but it's a tourist hot spot

Delicious cake - Edit
I liked the quick friendly service. The vegan chocolate cake was a generous portion, light sponge, tasty and fresh. The loose-leaf perthshire tea was refreshing.

Nice English tea! - Edit
We had the cheddar (shredded cheese) and tomato and cheddar and red onion relish sandwiches and they were tasty! We also had the vegan chocolate cake and vegan scone with butter and jam - also delicious! They had a fully vegan menu with several different options (sandwiches, paninis, soup). We left full and happy feeling like we had a British tea experience! The staff was incredibly friendly too. We went on a Friday for lunch and were able to walk in and get a table but they were pretty busy through!

Satisfyingly substantial and tasty - Edit
Popped in on the off chance and was pleasantly surprised by the vegan menu then very pleased with portion sizes! Simple, tasty and filling. The haggis and cheeze sandwich came with a tasty vegan coleslaw. My pal had the same with broccoli soup and chips. The cake was decent too.

Great vegan options - Edit
Vegan menu, loads of vegan cakes and savoury options, staff who seemed fully on top of what was vegan. And the food itself was delicious. Had broccoli soup, and a scone.

Good food & loose leaf teas - Edit
They have a separate vegan menu that you need to request. On the day they had 5 vegan cakes & a vegan biscuit. They have oat, soya and coconut milk for teas & milkshakes. We were offered non bone china cups by the boss when she saw we were ordering vegan. They have a wide range of loose leaf teas that vary in price and were good quality. We made the most of some combo deals: panini & chips a sandwich and cake deal. We chose a carrot cake, a haggis & cheese sandwich and a roasted veg and pesto panini. It all tasted great and the cheese they use wasn’t too strong/cheesy which works well for me. It came with their special house slaw which was good. The price can add up, especially with the teas but the food and service felt worth it. We also managed to get there just before the crowds which was good as they turned some people away.

We stopped for tea and cake here, and it's extremely popular so if you want to have a longer meal or in a larger group, do plan ahead. They may do reservations.

Sweet place, well decorated, with wonderful staff and well served pieces of cakes. Also offers coffee with plant based milk (soya, coconut and oat). My hubby got a cappuccino with oat milk and he said that's wonderful. Staff is very kind!

Ok! But only because we were so hungry late in the day! - Edit
Looked inviting from outside with Vegan on the board. But no mention on the menu inside? Very friendly staff who could not have been more helpful and the choice of teas were really good just a shame our Panini’s were lacking much filling, had to fill them with the small salad and crisps!! that came with it. Not very exciting and not very cheap either. Could have been much better. Cake after was ok!

Cons: Lack of vegan options printed on menu. , Lack of filling in panini. , Bit on the expensive side for what you got.

Very tasty soup and vegan haggis - Edit
Very nice tea room with a separate vegan menu. Enough vegan options. Soup is always vegan. I had the soup and the vegan haggis. Both were very good. The sweets looked very tasty as well, but didn't try them.

Vegan paninis and a couple of cake options - Edit
Not quite a dedicated vegan menu, but they gave me another main menu that had marked what was vegan and also added the option of vegan haggis and cheese for paninis. Very busy place but a sign of its popularity and they had lots of tea options with vegan milk options (sadly 50p more than milk). And they could do their signature coleslaw vegan with the panini

One option, no separate menu - Edit
We were lured in by the sign outside that says "vegan/gluten free menu".

Lovely tearoom with plenty of options - Edit
Lovely tearoom and very helpful and lovely staff despite being very busy. A lovely lady marked up the menu with all available options and explained that vegan milkshakes were available. Lovely food and not too expensive. They have a chocolate cake that you'd never believe was vegan and their coleslaw and crisps are vegan.

Deeeeelish! - Edit
Went in on a very busy Sunday, enquired about vegan options and the lovely (I assume) manager marked on the menu what was vegan and also told us we could have vegan haggis and cheese in a panini. We were also told about cakes and drink options including milkshakes made with icecream 🥰 very friendly and helpful staff and the food was delicious. Our first visit but we'll definitely go back next time we're in the area.

Sounded great but a little disappointing - Edit
We went out of our way to go to Hetties on a Saturday afternoon at 2pm in February. It was very busy so we waited 30 mins for a table along with lots of other folk. My son's order was incorrect despite me having corrected the waitress twice while placing the order but it was quickly sorted. I ordered their salad and was very disappointed that this was just lettuce, tomato, cucumber and red onion...no crisps or coleslaw that were served with other dishes but there were two mini bread rolls which were warm and if not eaten immediately, became rock hard! We'd all been drooling over the vegan desserts - Jammie Dodger, carrot cake, chocolate brownie, mini lemon muffin - but when we ordered, we were told none of these were being offered anymore and instead there were four flavours of mini loaf. We tried three and all were equally disappointing. Hetties looked and sounded so promising but didn't deliver unfortunately.
