Ok! But only because we were so hungry late in the day! - Edit
Looked inviting from outside with Vegan on the board. But no mention on the menu inside? Very friendly staff who could not have been more helpful and the choice of teas were really good just a shame our Panini’s were lacking much filling, had to fill them with the small salad and crisps!! that came with it. Not very exciting and not very cheap either. Could have been much better. Cake after was ok!

Cons: Lack of vegan options printed on menu. , Lack of filling in panini. , Bit on the expensive side for what you got.

Decent Food - Great Tea! - Edit
They have a hand-marked menu with “star by the items that are vegan or can be made vegan. We had their pea soup and a panini - decently good. They even had a vegan chocolate cake! Amazing list of teas.

Very tasty soup and vegan haggis - Edit
Very nice tea room with a separate vegan menu. Enough vegan options. Soup is always vegan. I had the soup and the vegan haggis. Both were very good. The sweets looked very tasty as well, but didn't try them.

Several vegan options, helpful staff - Edit
Walked in and asked if they had options and we were seated quickly and handed an adapted version of their menu with the vegan options marked. They were happy to adapt other options and they had plenty of plant milk options too.
Read moreNo big meal options but perfect to stop by for a panini, cake, or a cup of tea or coffee. Even had vegetarian (vegan) haggis!! Great scones too!

Vegan paninis and a couple of cake options - Edit
Not quite a dedicated vegan menu, but they gave me another main menu that had marked what was vegan and also added the option of vegan haggis and cheese for paninis. Very busy place but a sign of its popularity and they had lots of tea options with vegan milk options (sadly 50p more than milk). And they could do their signature coleslaw vegan with the panini

One option, no separate menu - Edit
We were lured in by the sign outside that says "vegan/gluten free menu".
Read moreTurns out they have no menu and the only option was a hummus sandwich which we had to ask for no butter also. No options marked on the menu either.
Also very expensive for what you're getting. £8.90 for a paninj with salad and crisps.
Cons: Expensive, Hectic, One option, no menu

Lovely tearoom with plenty of options - Edit
Lovely tearoom and very helpful and lovely staff despite being very busy. A lovely lady marked up the menu with all available options and explained that vegan milkshakes were available. Lovely food and not too expensive. They have a chocolate cake that you'd never believe was vegan and their coleslaw and crisps are vegan.

Deeeeelish! - Edit
Went in on a very busy Sunday, enquired about vegan options and the lovely (I assume) manager marked on the menu what was vegan and also told us we could have vegan haggis and cheese in a panini. We were also told about cakes and drink options including milkshakes made with icecream 🥰 very friendly and helpful staff and the food was delicious. Our first visit but we'll definitely go back next time we're in the area.

Only vegan option (a hummus sandwich) - Edit
Stopped by Hettie’s on 27th August 2020 and the only vegan option was a hummus sandwich. Decided not to eat here and didn’t enquire about cakes.

No vegan options as of 8/8/20 - Edit
Enquired about vegan options and they said that they did not have anything vegan.

Sounded great but a little disappointing - Edit
We went out of our way to go to Hetties on a Saturday afternoon at 2pm in February. It was very busy so we waited 30 mins for a table along with lots of other folk. My son's order was incorrect despite me having corrected the waitress twice while placing the order but it was quickly sorted. I ordered their salad and was very disappointed that this was just lettuce, tomato, cucumber and red onion...no crisps or coleslaw that were served with other dishes but there were two mini bread rolls which were warm and if not eaten immediately, became rock hard! We'd all been drooling over the vegan desserts - Jammie Dodger, carrot cake, chocolate brownie, mini lemon muffin - but when we ordered, we were told none of these were being offered anymore and instead there were four flavours of mini loaf. We tried three and all were equally disappointing. Hetties looked and sounded so promising but didn't deliver unfortunately.

Lovely, bustling cafe with vegan options - Edit
This place is clearly popular with locals and visitors. It's a lovely tea room in traditional style and right in the heart of town. The staff were attentive and polite and clearly well trained to provide excellent customer service. There is a separate vegan menu with a good selection of fillings - some quite inventive (tofu and avocado, peanut butter and banana) for sandwiches, paninis or a baked potato and also a small selection of vegan cakes (note - a vegan scone would be great!). We also had the lentil soup - vegan - and it was very tasty although it could have been a bit thicker.

Had a 10 minute wait for a table as it was really busy. Staff were friendly, separate vegan options "allergen champion" on at all times, cake was very moist, they blend their own tea and Earl Grey was great.

Lively wee tearoom with lots of options for the tea jennies. Vegan menu is decent and had the same combo options as the regular menu, with vegan food options of course. Their cake is nice too (if a little dry).

Hettie's Tearoom - Edit
Very busy little tea room with a separate vegan menu which is soup, sandwiches, salads, and baked potatoes (we had to ask for the menu). Soup was delicious but tofu and avocado sandwich was very bland - just tofu straight out of the pack and sliced onto bread, with a smearing of avo. Table was very small which made eating awkward. Staff were great though and told us about milk options (soya, almond and coconut if I remember rightly!). Plenty of different types of tea, the morning cuppa is nice and strong.

There is a separate vegan menu, which is a huge plus. However, you might need to ask for it cause they only provide you with their regular menu first.

Excellent Cafe - Edit
Visited this lovely little tearoom on Pitlochry High Street on a Saturday afternoon for lunch.
Read moreIt's clearly a popular place, as we weren't able to be seated straight away but were able to reserve a table for 15 minutes time, which we just spent window shopping along the High Street.
They have their own vegan menu, which offers soup (homemade), baked potatoes and sandwiches with a good choice of fillings, as well as cakes and sorbets for dessert.
We tried the pea soup, and both the red pepper and humous sandwich and the vegan haggis sandwich options. All of which were delicious.
The staff were very helpful, the cafe had a nice atmosphere, was dog friendly, and had very clean toilets.
The only disappointment was that the vegan carrot cake, while edible, was rather dry, though this would be because it was also gluten free. We fed this back to the staff, who were not only apologetic, but appreciated the feedback and explained that they'd not been doing the vegan menu that long and were therefore still learning and grateful for any constructive criticism so that they could improve and get even better. They even insisted on not charging us for the cake, despite us having been happy to pay for it!
Definitely recommended to all.
Pros: Great soup., Great sandwiches., Great staff.
Cons: Carrot Cake a touch disappointing.

Really nice - Edit
Really helpful staff. Standalone vegan menu. I had parsnip soup with hummus and sun-dried tomato sandwich. I had the Jammie dodger for dessert. I was offered 3 alternative milks with my coffee. While I was there I heard lots of people ask for the vegan menu so it's obviously popular with vegans.
