Lively and delish! - Edit
We stopped by here on a trip to the Bay area. The food was pretty good but the space in general was such a cool vibe. I had such a hard time picking just one item. I would definitely come back for more.

Unsatisfactory - Edit
I was extremely excited to try Hella Vegan Eats. Their menu looked very appetizing and I was very hungry. I arrived an hour and fifteen minutes before closing, I ordered my food, after I dropped a five dollar bill in the tip jar and found a table to sit at. After waiting for an hour I was a bit concerned about where my food was or why it was taking so long. Around 3:05, five minutes after closing, a woman came to me asking if I was still waiting on food, I responded, “Yes”. She then walked away and sent the man I ordered from over to tell me that the kitchen was closed and that they were unsure of what happened to my ticket. The place was slow, they maybe had 4 other customers, I’m confused as to how my ticket came up missing. He then told me that they would not be able to make my food because the kitchen was closed. Mind you I had been there an hour & fifteen minutes and tipped them already. Very disappointed and still hungry.

The cars, the backgrounds and the food are all so pretty. Also, most importantly, it’s vegan and tastes good 🥳

Good food sketch location - Edit
Food is really good and liked everything I had but there is a ton of construction going on and it’s really hard to park. I parked around the corner across from the Korean BBQ place and my car got broken into.

Lovely community vegan restaurant ❤️ - Edit
Our family had a lovely lunch in the really beautiful outdoor space. The food is great — dirty vegan but with veggies! There is a warm and inviting community feel to the place, clearly a labor of love for its owners and workers.

Hole in the Wall Vegan Place - Edit
Found this place as me and my Fiance were at first friday in oakland. Really cool spot that has very old school cars and theme. Very nice outdoor seating to eat and has Ping Ping to play as you wait for your food.

Very hip but the food is not so tasty. - Edit
Everything on the menu was unhealthy and unappealing. I don't mind eating fast food, but I don't like everything deep fried and drowning in mayo.

processed food, long wait, smells like gasoline, pricey - Edit
Went there recently for brunch. Waited in a long, long line while *one* person took orders, slowly. Waited a long, long time to receive the food. Other people were noticeably upset with the wait. The dining area smells like gasoline. The food arrived, with amazingly small portions. The french toast only had two small pieces of bread. All of the food options featured highly proceed vegan food, and very few vegetables - pretty odd for a vegan restaurant. To top it off, it's quite pricey.

Hands down best chocolate cake I've ever had! I wish I had a picture but there was no time. One bite turned me into a ravenous beast! Non-vegans would definitely agree this cake is amazing!

awesome food! - Edit
As a new vegan I was hesitant to try the mac and cheeze. I have had some negative experiences w vegan cheeze before but the mac and cheeze topped w fried chicken was really tasty! Also, its a very cool space as others have mentioned. OK - it is not health food but worth checking out if you want filling vegan food. Or just to hang out and have a beer. I plan to take my non-vegan wife here soon.

Costly for the portion size and salty - Edit
I loved the decor and indoor/ outdoor seating of this restaurant. I also love the fact that the restaurant shares space amd looks out to a warehouse of classic cars and art.
Read moreI did not love the food. I ordered a vegan chicken salad, and I felt the portion was really small for the price, and the vegan chicken was far too salty for my taste.
It tasted ok, but was overall disappointed with what I ordered.

Great for brunch or happy hours - Edit
This is one of my favorite spots in Oakland - a last bastion of innovative comfort food that doesn't feel like the domain of fancy/tech bros. It's a holdout in the rapidly-changing Uptown area where the queers, freaks, geeks, weirdos, artists, musicians, activist, and low-baggers can all still be comfortable, even though you are oddly seated amongst million-dollar rare cars in the showroom.
Read moreThey have added more indoor seating, but sitting outside on a nice day is where it's at. Great food (think things like Chick'n & Waffles, Tater-Tot Nachos, insanely good donuts, sandwiches etc), a few beers etc. Dog-friendly too.

Great brunch spot - Edit
Went here for brunch. Brought the dog along and sat out in the beer garden, which was really nice! Delicious food too. The pesto BLT was really tasty, although the "bacon" was more like sausage in both texture and flavour. My friend had the burrito which wasn't quite as good as the sandwich, but still pretty awesome.

I FEEL HAPPY TO BE ALIVE HERE - Edit
Hella Vegan Eats is just fabulous. In regard to the food, all I can say is sweet Jesus Christ! Vegan or not, you'll be super happy with your food and I guarantee you'll wanna come back for more. I've been twice and both times I've gotten the Mac n Cheeze which is just out of this world! Oh my god, it makes me so happy to be vegan!!! I have yet to try their donuts or cakes, but trust me, I plan to and am positive that they're awesome!

It was great! Anyways, DEFINITELY EAT HERE, IT'S THE BEST!
Pros: VEGAN DONUTS, best Mac n cheeze , nice ambience, cool cars + art

Hella good food from Hella Vegan - Edit
Grateful Hella Vegan Eats has a restaurant space, & is able to keep food truck going; more opportunities to enjoy their delicious, innovative food. We were there for Saturday brunch, and even the non-vegans in our group enjoyed the gourmet donuts, crispy chicken and waffles, and a Champions of breakfast combo plate, featuring French toast, organic berries, a tasty tofu scramble, and broccoli rabe/Brussels sprout/sweet potato hash. Various beers, mimosas, wine on drink menu; it bills itself a beer garden so selection is good.
Read moreLocation at Classic Cars West is convenient, with interesting artwork and a good vibe for good vegan eating. Order inside, peruse the classic cars, snag a table on the huge outside patio & await your order/table number being called at the outdoor pickup window when your food is ready. There are patio heaters for the cool evenings, and patio umbrellas to give some relief from the sun during weekend brunches. Handicap accessible, pet friendly, clean, indoor bathrooms.
The weekend brunches are new, yet done right so well worth the moderate prices.
Pros: 100% deliciously vegan, Restaurant & food truck, Knowledgable friendly people
Cons: Limited hours
