8 Ibn Gabirol, Tel Aviv, Israel, 38900

Serves meat, vegan options available. Sugar Cafe changed name to Hashachen Bistro in late-2014 and is now a neighborhood bistro-style restaurant with a bar and wine list (same management). Vegan choices are marked in every category with mains being hot tabbouleh or tofu curry; several vegan salads and breakfasts. Charges extra for soy milk in cappuccino. Free Wi-Fi. Jazz on some nights.

Plenty of Vegan Options - Edit

HaShachen Bistro a nice neighborhood restaurant with great options for vegans and several vegetarian ones as well. The place is close to the HaBima Theater and the Tel Aviv Cinemathèque. I especially recommend the vegan breakfast Shakshouka (sizzling pan of tofu cubes, spicy tomato and pepper sauce, and eggplant) which comes with bread, salad, techina, and coffee. Also the vegan tofu curry is a good (and very filling) dish.
