Decent kebab - Edit
Just grabbed a couple of kebabs from here for dinner, we specifically asked for no mayo or yoghurt but discovered after we walked off that it had a creamy orange sauce - like a spicy mayo maybe? Damn, guess you really have to be pedantic about making sure that you get ONLY ketchup or chilli sauce.

Location: corner of Do Quang Dau and Bui Vien (backpacker/ walking street).

Cheap and tasty but not automatically vegan - Edit
I saw the word vegan next to 35,000 dong in the backpacker street and made a beeline. Looking at the picture on the stand, the vegan kebab appeared to have yogurt on it. I asked the owner if he had vegan kebabs available and he said yes. I asked if I could have it without yogurt and he seemed surprised. I said I don’t eat dairy. He then asked if I wanted any sauce and did I still want mayonnaise? So I think he just doesn’t understand the difference between vegan and vegetarian. I inquired about what he uses for the meat and it’s home made Seitan with chickpea flour in it (vegan). He made me a kebab with the seitan, salad, chilli sauce and ketchup and spoke English so it was easy to communicate and get an actually vegan kebab. It doesn’t come in bread (he uses a Chinese pancake, but it was vegan, I checked myself), so it wasn’t that filling if you’re used to the monster sized kebabs of western countries. But it was a very tasty snack and I’d eat it again. The stall owner was very friendly too.
Read moreJust make sure you don’t order the vegan kebab as is if you’re vegan. Specify no yogurt, no mayonnaise.
Pros: Tasty seitan kebab, Cheap
Cons: Small serve, Vegan kebab not vegan as it comes
