Great vegan option in Salzburg - Edit
I visited Salzburg during the holiday season and visited Gustav twice during my four day stay. The cafe is cozy and inviting. There are regular menu features and daily specials. I had the veggie burger and a Mediterranean themed sandwich with a balsamic glaze that were both tasty and hearty. The service staff was also extremely friendly and even gave me recommendations for vegan restaurants to visit in Prague. I highly recommend Gustav while in Salzburg. It shouldn't be missed!

Amazing french toast and burger! - Edit
GustaV is a small restaurant serving the most amazing vegan French toast I've had! Their beetroot veggie burger with homemade potato "cheese" sauce is divine! I definitely recommend you book a spot here for lunch! The restaurant is quite small so get their early to book your spot :-)

Pros: all vegan owners are super sweet people!
Cons: I wish they had more restaurants around the world.

tasty lunch - Edit
This place is a little oasis of calm and joy; a nice small selection of breakfast and lunch dishes available all day. I had the scrambled tofu breakfast which was really good, and my partner had a tofu Mediterranean sandwich. not cheap (both about 9 euros) but really decent vegan food. Also had a cake which was really good but maybe slightly dull. The lady running it was extremely friendly and helpful, and willing to translate the menu for us.

Excellent meal! - Edit
Beautiful setting for a summer lunch meal on the sidewalk overlooking a tree covered hill. The seitan sandwich and the tofu scrambled were delicious and fully vegan. Denise was our server, extremely helpful explaining in English the menu that was only in German.

lovely little bistro - Edit
Very nice little place with lovely owners ! The menu is little but they offer good quality food. The prices are a bit higher compared to other nice places in Salzburg. My raw cake was 4,50euro whereas you easily get it under 4 euro at other places. Still I can recommend it as its a very unique vegan bistro.

Closed on Mondays - Edit
We were not sure of the opening times so wandered along anyway. It's closed on a Monday so we didn't actually eat there but it's very central.

A needed addition to the Salzburg scene - Edit
We went there for lunch on a Saturday and were lucky enough to get a table (the place is tiny but very cosy). We had a soup with bread, which was very nice, and two different sandwiches - which consisted in a ciabatta bread, a patty, sauces and salad - and they were both delicious! We even had a couple of beers (a hemp beer and a low-alcohol one) and they were pretty good, too. We finished in style with two pieces of cake (one being raw and probably the best of the two) and a very good coffee. The waitress was extremely nice and we had a good chat. I would definitely recommend it and will be back as soon as possible!

tasty and very friendly! - Edit
cute and cozy Cafe, with nice atmosphere. I went with my husband today and despite the fact they do not have a Menu (Speisekarte) in English, the friendly woman that was serving us explained everything in English in minimal details! My husband had only one espresso, and I was starving and ordered the Special Daily - a delicious salad with a very different (and super tasteful!) dressing, I could not identify the exactly flavour/taste, but I really loved it! and "scrambled eggs" (were tofu made) with dumplings and mushrooms, all very yummy - for 7,90€!!! And for takeaway a sandwich with sundried tomato pesto, humus, ruccola and paprika (about 5€, do not remember exactly) and a sooo-perfect piece of carrot with cashews and coconut covering pie (I think was 3€, or something around this). I LOVED IT AND FOR SURE I RECOMMEND! And there was the only place on earth that gives you fresh water to drink, for free, without asking! A simple thing that makes all the difference!
