Number One in Osaka! - Edit
The fact that we went three times in one holiday to Green Earth is a testament to how good it is! The lunch of the day is the clear winner, although my husband also enjoyed the hotdog and the burger. The staff are welcoming and efficient, with excellent service. The food is wholesome, inventive and delicious, and the surroundings are calm and comfortable. Top pick for Osaka!

lifesaver! - Edit
Really easy to find using the HC nap and instantly recognisable once here. Friendly staff understand English enough to be able to have small conversations and to answer questions. I chose the day's set menu and it was a delicious and varied selection of hot and cold. They also serve and sell kombucha, so I got my probiotic kick, too! Very recommended. ☺️

Great lunch stop - Edit
This place was an easy walk from the subway station and provided a quick, cheap and tasty lunch. We the soy meat wrap and the hot dog which filled my junk food cravings and came with potatoes and a little salad. The cakes were delish and we were so happy to finally find a vegan cheesecake. The best part of it all however was the owner who was the nicest guy ever! He was so friendly and asks us lots of questions, comparing being vegan in Japan and England.

Quick, cheap, good - Edit
Everything about this place is convenient. It's in a good location central to everything, the food is cheap, tasty and comes out very quickly. The man that served us spoke vgood English and was very efficient. The daily lunch was very large and is more than enough on its own. I didn't know this and ordered a hummus sandwich as well, which was also tasty and cheap but really stretched my appetite! As others have said, the food here isn't special, but it is perfect for those looking for a good feed without wasting any time.

Spacious busy spot - Edit
This was one of the biggest spots I ate at in Japan (which doesn't mean much in Japan). Dispite the "vegan" in the description it is not fully vegan. The do offer cheese and milk but seems like mostly everything could be made vegan. I got a pasta dish that was very good but realized after I probably should have asked if it was vegan.

This is my second visit and it doesn't disappoint! Really flavoursome food and lovely staff who speak English well. Lunch sets change daily and both of mine were superb, it was burritos today and they were so tasty! Incredible value for money.

Simply perfect - Edit
I'm sitting there right now and it is just awesome. English speaking, really welcoming staff and great vegan/vegetarian food for a reasonable price. The owner came to talk to me and gave me great tips for vegetarian restaurants in Osaka and even invited me for coffee. After I paid, he gave me some rice cookies to take away. One of the best experiences in Osaka so far!

Hearty food, sells homemade cookies - Edit
The food portions her are good. I enjoyed the set lunch plate, it had a variety of items that were all nice and it was reasonably priced. Like others have said, nothing here is outstanding but it is a good place to eat for unfussy, quick, hearty food. The owner speaks good English and is very friendly!

This is a good vegetarian restaurant with a lot of vegan choices. The food is freshly prepared and the portion sizes are good but it's average in terms of the food taste, ie, there is nothing particularly outstanding on the menu.

I had the "Lunch of the day", and ordered a soy burger to go for later, came to 1450¥ in total. The food came within 10 minutes, tasted fresh and good. The waiter speaks great English, and was as helpful as you could expect, no smiles, but fast and efficient.

Green Earth, Osaka - Edit
1stly to clear up some confusion. This establishment is defo not 100% vegan. The blurb on the menu inside cover clearly states they offer lacto milk and lacto cheese. I asked the server who confirmed that info to be correct.
Read moreThis was great food and the best value for money I've encountered so far in my admittedly short stay in Japan. The set deal was great value and great taste at 700 yen. My spouse ordered a salad that was similarly delicious.

Pros: Vegan friendly, Good value, Great tasting food
Cons: Shame about the lacto milk and lacto cheese

Green Earth is one of the best vegetarian restaurants in Japan - Edit
Green Earth is one of my favorite restaurants in Japan (on my top 3). The owners are kind, spontaneous Osaka-jin, and their food is both very tasty and cheap. There's a nice little seating area outside too. And it's near Shinsaibashi
