Fine vegan dining

UPDATE (Saturday, Nov. 1, 2025)
The vegan menu is gone but there are a few options to enjoy: Forest & Grain, Carrot Ginger Soup, and Vegan Risotto with mushrooms and tomato.

Forest & Grain is labeled vegan and includes saffron couscous, dry apricots, pine nuts, basil pesto, maitake mushrooms and king oyster mushroom. While flavorful, the portion size won’t satisfy someone with a big appetite.

There’s also the Carrot Ginger Soup. It’s not labeled vegan but the server kindly checked with the chef and told me it is vegan. The server presented it by pouring the soup from a small pitcher into a wide, shallow soup bowl, placed before me, with diced carrots and fried ginger at the bottom.

Also, not on the menu, the server said they could make a vegan risotto with mushrooms and tomato. I ended up adding some risotto to my carrot soup and it was delicious.

The pan seared tofu scallops were elegantly plated with sweet corn purée and three Granny Smith apple slices fanned out. It’s a dish for someone with a light appetite. The red quinoa salad was refreshing with diced honeycrisp apple, dried cranberries and white balsamic vinaigrette. The Brussels sprouts were quite tasty and had a wonderful Jalapeño kick.

All vegan options discontinued

All vegan starters and mains have been removed from the menu. I don't recommend this place for vegans or vegetarians, as all of the starters have meat.

Cons: No vegan food of substance, Very noisy

Nothing of substance that is vegan

We just arrived in South Lake Tahoe yesterday and out of curiosity decided to see if the restaurant had vegan options. I was not vegan the last time we ate here. Unfortunately, all they have are a couple of sides that are vegan. No entrees. No desserts.

Mostly disappointed

The vegan menu was available when we went in late Feb 2025. We had the tofu scallops and risotto as main dishes and cauliflower for the appetizer. Tofu wasn’t seasoned enough and was kind of small quantity. The risotto was good but also kind of small for a main. Cauliflower was average. Service was great but I would expect better options from such a big name in the culinary biz. There are better options in the area.

Pros: Service, Ambiance

Cons: Quantity, Lack of creative and flavorful vegan options

No vegan menu - discontinued

We’ve eaten at Gordon Ramsay’s hell’s kitchen many times, always from their vegan menu. When we arrived a few weeks ago for dinner, we were informed they no longer have the vegan menu discontinued. I posted that information on this website so I’m surprised the restaurant still appears on this website.

Expensive (of course) but not amazing

First off, I will say that the Vegan menu was much cheaper than the omni menu but it still was very expensive when considering the portion size and quality. The tofu scallops were so tiny and quite bland it needed way more seasoning, luckily the purée and garnish helped give it some of that but it wasn't enough. The risotto was yummy but not really risotto... it was more like rice mush. It didn't have the same creaminess traditional risotto has which disappointed me, they easily could have used coconut milk or something to give it a richness but there was nothing so it tasted watered down. I did like the tomato garnish on it though because it added a nice tartness to the dish. My favorite dish was actually the side dish of corn, it was roasted and seasoned beautifully and had a nice kick to it. I also got the sorbet which was yummy but $9 for sorbet is toooo much.

Pros: Good fine dining experience , Lovely Staff, Beautiful plating & aesthetic

Cons: Expensive, lackluster compared to the omni menu
