A godsend for central MN

Vegan options are hard to come by in central MN, especially in surrounding rural areas. This co-op is a breath of fresh air for vegans in the area, and it is so nice to have a place to buy vegan baked goods and other grocery items. This grocery store has my heart.

Great grocery!

There's some homemade vegan meals that you can purchase from the deli area. Lots of vegan grocery options available! Friendly staff.

Pros: Lots of vegan options

Cons: Out of the way location for some

I pretty much grew up here

I love this place just for its atmosphere alone. The selection of vegan foods is usually decent enough that I can find something to eat from the deli, like a sandwich or soup. Often their hot foods will have vegan options as well, which is nice. Great selection of vegan baked goods!

Small Town Co-op

This Co-op has been around for decades, and keeps growing. They have a small salad bar to accompany their soups, a small hot-bar, grab-n-go cooler, and baked goods. They also usually have good coffee, available in air-pots. The soups are often excellent, and usually you'll see a vegan, vegetarian, and meat option. Often there are a number of vegan options for grab-n-go sandwiches, but sometimes few or none. Today I had a seasoned Tempeh half-wrap, and a cup of yummy veggie soup with well balanced broth; kind of peppery and vinegary, called Dragon's Delight. The grocery section is pretty good. The buyers have done a great job sourcing everything carefully, according to some pretty legit standards. The in-house vegan baked goods are really good. Usually it's scones, muffins, cookies, and cupcakes, and sometimes there's a seasonal item or banana bread.

Pros: Decent vegan fare, Definitely worth a look

Cons: Not suuuperrr consistent

Only place I shop for groceries

The co op is great, wide variety of fair trade, sustainable foods and products. Fruits and veggies are fresh. The hot food section and deli is great, a little spendy but worth it. I haven't found a reason to go to the regular grocery store in years! If you are a local becoming a member saves you money!!

Pros: Great selection of organic produce , Great selection of vegan alternative pro, Delicious deli for vegan/vegetarians

Cons: Staff is sometimes "disengaged"

Great Find

This place was vital to our trek across the northern plains during the winter. We found all the mock meats, bread, and soup needed to make lunches for the next few days on a road trip. The prices were what one would expect from a health food store.

Pros: Vegan Options, Helpful Employees

Cons: Price
