Worth the drive from Hagerstown - Edit
I’d wanted to check this place out for a couple years but don’t get down to my folks’ often. I visited for their 55th anniversary and this time made sure I could go. I wanted to check out their breakfasts but that will have to wait for next time. I ordered 6 doughnuts for myself along with another 6 for my sister. My non vegan BIL who drove me there said they were better than “regular” doughnuts. It was busy on an early Sunday morning but service was fast and friendly. My BIL even went through line twice after my sister wanted to put in an order. Delicious gourmet vegan doughnuts! I’ll definitely be back.

Super Tasty Food - Edit
Stopped here on my way traveling and will definitely be back again on my next trip. I got the Farmhouse ChowChow Burger with side of potatoes and it was delicious. I didn’t know what chowchow was until today and the combo of it with the tasty burger, apple butter, sharp cheddar and pretzel roll was perfection. The potatoes were super tasty too. I also got two donuts and they were also delicious! It’s always nice to have a vegan spot to stop at when traveling but this place is even better as the food is top notch. Staff was super friendly too and the space looked inviting and comfortable.

Great food, great staff! - Edit
My husband and I were visiting from Michigan and met some friends at this great spot! Our friends are not vegan, but loved the food as much as we did! The staff even did a special order for one of our friends who is on a low carb diet!

Yay vegan food! - Edit
Frederick is not a haven for all things vegan, but you wouldn’t know it from eating here.
Read moreThey have, yes, vegan doughnuts galore! They also have other items like scones, breakfast sandwiches, pancakes, French toast, proteins like tofu, sausage and tempeh, and sides of potatoes for breakfast. For other meals, they have burgers, pierogies, ravioli, a burrito and a few other sandwiches.
The space is huge! Places to sit, yes, but lots of open space.
For special holidays and occasions and sometimes just the weekend rush, stuff sells quickly!
Food is good! Support vegan businesses!
Pros: All vegan, Huevos rancheros , Potatoes
Cons: Few items gluten free

Donut perfection - Edit
Donuts are some of the best I’ve ever had. And all the other menu items I’ve tried have also been delicious. This was my second time visiting but the first time in their (much needed) larger space. It’s a great spot with a grassy area out front for outdoor tables and a good sized area indoors. Definitely a spot I will continue to visit whenever I’m traveling through the DMV.

Excellent comfort food spot. - Edit
Everything is vegan. Donuts up front, full menu of reimagined diner classics for eating in or carry out. Too many delicious options to choose, but the friendly folks at the counter helped me figure it out. Will stop by again any time I’m in the area. There’s parking behind the back of the building.

Must order ahead - Edit
Their food is great and we love the place but make note, ORDER AHEAD, even if you’re dining in. We went on a Sunday and they first told us it would be 1 hour wait for food, then said 30 minutes and by the time we went to order (5 minutes later) we were told the kitchen was closed. It was 12:00 and they’re supposed to be open until 4. 😕

I was also there today (sunday) & it was Mothers Day so lots of families were out for donuts and breakfast. They were slammed. I got my food at 11:30am. But i was also there Saturday at 11:00am and got my food in 20min & i ordered a few plates. Thurs & Friday i got my food in 15min. I’m visiting from the west coast & found this place on Happy Cow and have gone there everyday of my visit. The people are incredibly nice & minus a mothers day onslaught of customers that left them depleted, the service was fantastic. I recommend the huevos rancheros or the breakfast club

Let's get this outta the way first... The doughnuts are delicious! The place is great, casual, and a neighborhood spot just like they say. I also appreciate that it's a locally, woman, and openly LGBTQ+ owned and operated business. This is the type of business I like to support!

My husband wants to petition Happy Cow to be able to rate this place 6 stars - Edit
Wow! By a happy accident, the coffee shop we planned on breakfasting at today discontinued their vegan menu, which delayed us long enough for this place to be open. Oh. My. Goodness!!!! Everything was absolutely amazing! My husband got the apple sage sausage potato melt, and I got the PBR American style waffle “everything but the kitchen sink” style. Both were AMAZING (definitely get some hot sauce to throw on top if you’re of my train of thought that spice makes everything better)!!! We also got a selection of doughnuts - the pancake doughnut (maple syrup glaze w whipped cream and mini pancakes on top) is OUT of this world and is the best vegan doughnut I have ever had! Brought home a 2nd pancake doughnut as well as a glazed chocolate cake, macadamia white chocolate, & burnt brown sugar (yes that’s the name, the doughnut does not in fact appear to be burnt) - cannot wait to try the others and relive the glory of the pancake doughnut. My husband had a monkey bread pastry which was good, but probably would have been great if it was fresh out of the oven at time of consumption. Overall, we highly highly recommend this place! My husband decrees we should move to Frederick to be able to frequent this place regularly

Go & peep their new location on Patrick St. More seating available outdoors! Blankets welcome. Walk in ordering and pick up available. As always, the food is out of this world. Some of the next vegan food you’ll ever taste and the best donuts EVER!! They have bakers specials every day if you’re not a donut person. Food ranges from pancakes to the Maryland dog, ravioli, burgers and much more!
