Vegan seafood yumminess - Edit
When in Boston, it is hard to believe there are not more restaurants with vegan seafood menu options. We were happy to find this place! It is on the water with great views of the city, and it like many other lobster shacks that dot the shoreline. Do not expect fancy, as no shacks ever are. A lot of the menu is fried, just like other shacks along the shore. But they at least offer a diverse set of menu options that are “safe” for PBD folks, and many of the menu items can be made gluten free, which is important to me. While I have recipes for better versions of their lobster roll and clam chowder, it was still tasty and fun to see how another chef/restaurant makes them. The mozzerella sticks were yummy, as was the closeslaw. My husband had the fish and chips which had a nice texture, but could use a little more fish taste with added seaweed.

Nice View - Edit
I've gone both to this restaurant and tried his food while at VEGFEST. The owner is nice, and kind. I loved talking to him about his transition into vegan food, and how he creates the menu items. However, it seemed a bit run down when I went into the restaurant. I did go the first month it opened, so it could have definitely used some renovations; which may have happened by now! Mostly I just love the food at the multiple vegan festivals I see the owner at! Def worth a try!!
Read moreBoth times I tried the vegan clam chowder, and although I have no reference for what it is supposed to taste like, it def had fishy vibes. I loved it, and got a huge serving which wasn't too expensive!

Destination-Worthy New England Seafood - Edit
Oh my Lord….the food here is amazing. My husband grew up eating New England seafood and this place rivals any coastal restaurant, vegan or not! Clam chowder- amazing! Vegan lobster roll- incredible! Fish & chips- tasted awesome & seems like the real thing.

NOICE - Edit
Variety of ingredients is nice - different bases/proteins, instead of everything being soy-based. Solid options for a stop-in along the waterfront. Variety of styles of food, coffee, shakes, desserts.

Love this place! - Edit
I’m so glad we finally made it up here! It’s a cute little spot, with a really nice outdoor seating area for when it’s warm, with a view of the ocean.
Read moreWe got the CBLT, lobster roll, and fries, and the owner brought us a fried fish patty to try - it was SO good! The lobster roll is made of hearts of palm and doesn’t taste exactly like lobster, but was so tasty. The CBLT and fries were great too
Definitely check this place out! 💙

Disappointing - Edit
Food was mediocre at best and way overpriced for how it tasted. They served us vegan cheese on our sandwiches that wasn’t even halfway melted. We had two sandwiches with fries, two drinks and two pieces of cheesecake and the bill for two of us was over $80. Very disappointing

Needs to try a little harder for perceived value - Edit
I was very excited to try this restaurant as I had been watching their online/social media presence since their inception. It seems that many people thoroughly enjoy the food and service..... I however had very mixed feelings about both.
Read moreThe front counter gentleman was very friendly and knowledgeable, seemed to know the menu and his job very well. Counter style service surprised me with the size of the menu but seems to fit their current staffing size. Food arrived pretty quickly, but was completely underwhelming. I found the fried shrimp platter to be inedible, tasteless floppy fries and the texture of the shrimp was so strange that I couldn't take more than one bite of it. I also ordered a lobster roll which had decent flavor but was not on a roll...it came on a bun. For $20 I expected waaaayyy more, but at the very least to be on the roll that is implied with the very name of the sandwich.... sadness. Other people in my party ordered chicken sandwiches which arrived on overly toasted sub rolls with strangely chopped tomatoes and not nearly enough sauce to combat the super dry bread. The salads have an impressive presentation and the other items we ordered (mozz stick, elotè and onion rings) were the best parts of our meal with good flavor and provided the value expected for the price point. I agree with others who have said the place needs attention, it has so much potential. I would possibly come back to try the pizza... but all the entrees we ordered need help, flavor and more attention to detail in preparation.
Pros: Beautiful location, Friendly service, Lots of variety
Cons: Perceived value is lacking

Incredibly disappointing; not worth it - Edit
After reading the promising Boston Globe article, we were so excited to try this restaurant. We had a most bizarre experience on a recent Sunday mid-morning. The restaurant appeared to be barely open and barely functional, despite its listed hours. A counter-top chalkboard listed a very pared-down breakfast menu, but none of the items were available. We felt bad not ordering anything (plus we were starving) so we ordered a $6 "berry breakfast square" that, upon opening it, was a cold, gray, gooey puck. The staff member was kind enough to refund our money because it appeared inedible. The iced coffee was fine. Perhaps this restaurant picks up its pace and quality for lunch and dinner but it should not bill itself as open for breakfast. The patio is lovely and the view is spectacular.

Not worth the trip - Edit
They need to clean up their lobby and outside dining area, both looked unkept & in need of a good cleaning. The counter had drips of various foods. The falafel was over fried and tasteless. Drove an hour to try this place and wouldn’t go back.

So many options! - Edit
I really enjoyed this restaurant. There was some mixed reviews in our party but overall the food was good and it was fun to be able to get vegan ‘seafood’. The location was also a bonus and the fact that they also had vegan ice cream which both upped the rating one star.
Read moreJalapeño cheese sticks were very delicious
Lobster roll- was good, probably not $20 good, but still fun to try
Shrimp scampi pizza was very good. I’m not sure what they make those shrimp from but the texture was very shrimpy!
Crab cake basket was also a favorite
The Buffalo chicken Mac and cheese did not go over well but seriously, why order that at a ‘seafood’ place? Lol It was VERY spicy and not cheesy.
Pros: Yummy, Beautiful location
Cons: Expensive

Super excited to see another Vegan spot in the South shore! - Edit
I’ve been here three times! The food is a bit bland and could use some flavor. The PRICE is one of the reasons why I don’t plan on visiting anytime soon. The last time I went I got mac and cheese, empanadas (came with 2) and buffalo sub with 2 iced coffees and the total came out to $70 ish dollars.
Read moreAlso, the ice cream is really good, but again SUPER expensive. Your better off buying a pint of vegan ice cream for the same price. I think the cost of one scoop was around $6.00-$9.00
I think this establishment would do so much better if they lowered their prices and upped the flavor. The establishment next door (non-vegan) have cheaper to similar pricing but their portions are HUGE! (You get what you pay for) and from what I’ve been told the food is great.
I’m really hoping that they take into consideration the price because I see that many people complain about it.
Pros: Many Vegan Options, large menu, Near the beach, Out door seating, plenty of beach parking
Cons: SUPER EXPENSIVE , long wait time to get your food, Lacks flavor

Tricked the meat eaters - Edit
Eating here today was a fabulous experience. The views are absolutely beautiful, and it was so nice to go to a spot with so many options. I was able to witness and laugh about a girl who brought her friend without telling her it was vegan. When she was done with her “fried clams,” she actually went to the counter and asked why they were so cheap here. Then, she learned she’d been tricked. So, I am assuming that the imitation is pretty spot on. I went with a couple of friends and between us we had fish n chips, mozzarella sticks, empanadas, Buffalo chicken Mac n cheese, and some Oreo ice cream. All plates were divine, and we left happy after lunch with a beautiful view.

Great place, fun options and dog friendly! - Edit
Been here twice now, both times after taking the dogs to Stoddards neck dog park… it’s lovely to come here afterwards and to be able to sit outside with them and eat! We have so far tried the meatball sub, fried shrimp and chips, their cakes and ice cream: everything has been great so far, though it does sometimes feel a bit expensive and I wish they would use less disposable stuff to hold the food in.

What a treat! - Edit
The vegan fish & chips were amazing. Been decades since I've tasted fish and this really seemed to have the flavor & texture I remember (not that I've missed it.). But it was VERY good. The service, too was great. Seems to be a father and son ownership, and they couldn't have been nicer.

Vegan seafood galore - Edit
Sits right on Wollaston beach. The only vegan spot among the other seafood spots the dot Quincy Shore Drive. The staff were wonderfully nice and the menu is extensive. It was hard to choose. Took the owner’s recommendation to go for the fish and chips which was really a delight. I loved the Cole slaw and the consistency of the fish fillet. The portion was generous. It was nice to sit and watch the water as I enjoyed my food on the outside deck. Definitely will come back and share in this delicious experience with other ocean lovers.

Vegan ocean paradise - Edit
We were looking forward to visiting this restaurant when we heard that they had such a nice location and so many vegan options! Also, we wanted to let Craig, the owner, know how happy we were that he opened a vegan restaurant! (We used to go to his previous pizzeria and it’s always so cool to see non vegan places become 100% vegan)
Read moreWe were not disappointed! This place is such a great option for vegans and even for people that like to try vegan food. The view is absolutely amazing, the options are so many, the flavors are exquisite and the tables outside allow you to sit down and enjoy the water view as well as the Boston skylight.
We had the clam chowder (to die for!) pasta with shrimp (soooo good) mozzarella sticks (omg best ones we’ve had so far) the steak bomb (it’s really the bomb!) and French fries. Service was friendly, food came out quick and yes the prices are high but we’ll worth it! We just love to support innovative ideas and cruelty free local options. This restaurant is a visionary and I hope they are very successful because it’s such a creative idea to have vegan seafood by the water! We needed this. Did I mention the desserts? Soooo many cake and cheesecake flavors! Plus soft serve ice cream and milkshakes! We will be back even if it means driving an hour to get there. It’s worth it!!
Pros: Delicious food , Great friendly service , Amazing location by the water!

Really wanted to like this place… - Edit
I was excited to try the food here- I had high hopes. We ordered a margarita pizza and lobster roll… the lobster roll tasted like it was hearts of palm and it was on a bun. The flavor was not at all reminiscent of lobster- or any seafood- more so mayo and some type of spice. For $19.99 I would’ve expected a decent portion or at least some French fries, but the sandwich came with a mini bag of chips and a little side of Cole slaw. The pizza was also over priced for how much you got. The pizza was burnt and bland. The cheese was sparse and there were huge cloves of burnt garlic on each slice.
Read moreMaybe they were having an off night or maybe we didn’t order the best items on the menu- but I’m disappointed that I spent $45 and my partner and I both left hungry and dissatisfied.

No gluten free options - Edit
We would have loved to tried this place but we were told their gluten-free bread was falling apart and not servable. They asked us to pick items we might want and they’d let us know if they could be gluten-free. The only thing they offered to prepare for us (besides salad, I’m guessing, because they didn’t mention it as an option) was plain roasted cauliflower. I’m not upset that they didn’t have gluten-free options, but I’m upset that they were listed as a place where I could get gluten-free food, but they seemed completely unprepared to offer options.

All food is amazing is vegan, owner is awesome but they do have some dairy milk - Edit
The food is amazing! Location is fantastic! Right across from beach. Outdoor dining allows pets. Love everything! However, they do have some dairy based ice cream. The restaurant the owner had last was a pizza place that was mostly vegan but still alot of vegetarian stuff so give him some slack he’s opened the first mostly vegan seafood place in New England. Owner is super nice and helpful and gave us some free food to try too! Definitely will come again!!!!!!!

Great Food, Staff, & Views! - Edit
The menu is filled with good and unique vegan options! I enjoyed the vegan Buffalo wings, which was soy based and the “bone” was sugar cane therefore the wings were 100% edible. The staff was extremely nice and welcoming. The restaurant was clean and well decorated. The beach and good views of Boston skyline can be seen while eating outdoors. Overall A good vibes place to go! They also have a coffee menu!

Depends on what you order, but good! - Edit
My partner didn’t like the Fish and Chips (too fishy lol) but I liked mine. The sauce that comes with it is really tasty. Partner lovedddd the Cheesy Fries. I was meh about the mozzarella sticks, but I am at most places because I’m not really a vegan cheese fan 95% of the time. It had too much of a flavor, whereas my favorite thing about mozzarella sticks pre-vegan was how mild the cheese was. The sauce it came with was very tasty though. Big fan of the s’mores cheesecake we got! Definitely worth checking out, and a great beachside option!

Great Vegan "Seafood" - Edit
We've had other vegan seafood before (Oh My Cod) and this is just as good. The vegan crabcakes were my favorite and even the fries were just like a seafood place (and they stayed crispy!). Try the mozzarella sticks and Mexican street corn as well, they were awesome! Oh, and the cakes were delicious as well. Carrot cake was the best.
