Really good!! - Edit
The gyozas were one of the best we‘ve ever had! They’re also the only vegan item on the menu, but it is clearly marked as vegan friendly.
Read moreThis place is a third generation traditional gyoza restaurant and it is NOT temporarily closed (as it says on Happy Cow). Like someone said before in the reviews, they used to only serve the vegan gyoza on weekdays. But since we went there on a Saturday evening, I THINK they changed the system so that they always have them (plus there wasn’t anything written on the menu that said otherwise).
The miso paste you had to mix yourself as well as the service were outstanding! It seemed to be quite popular, so there was a waiting line from time to time. But they have many seats, so we didn’t have to wait for long. We got a few items from the food stands outside in Chinatown beforehand and then topped it off with the delicious gyoza, which were 550¥ for 5 pieces. All in all it was a pretty good deal and I‘d totally recommend!

best misopaste! - Edit
only had one vegan option (vegetable gyozas) but those were the best vegan gyozas I have eaten in Japan so far! You can do the misodip yourself and the misopaste is outstanding. You can also order a side of plain rice to dip into the sauce. Would give 5 stars if happy cow would let me😄

Pros: vegetable gyozas, service, misopaste

Beware only offered at certain times - Edit
Renowned gyoza restaurant. The taste was great. However, beware that they only offer veggie soy meat gyoza at dinner on weekdays. Not on weekends or holidays. We came during Golden week, and they made a special exception, but I would be careful and check ahead, especially if you’re going to be waiting in line for a while.

Poor signaling - Edit
When you get there, you wait outside until they call you, and there are many signs with the menu options, including the vegan gyoza option (15 gyoza) without ANY other info regarding time and portion size. The menu on the table doesn’t list the same option that’s displayed outside (only 5 gyoza) and again, no info about the time they serve this option, which the staff told us the only serve that at night, and they don’t have any option for the lunch menu with vegetables only.
