Very delicious food

We tried many dishes including sweet pea leaves fried with ginger, steamed pot rice with preserved vegetables and sliced pork, fried noodles with bamboo fungus and sliced abalone, taro duck, roast meat platter (you can swap the barbecue pork for something else), stuffed tofu with water mustard. Everyone in our group except me are meat-eaters but they liked all the dishes and were excited to return to this restaurant in the future. The staff were friendly and helpful too. There was English on the menu and items with eggs were clearly labelled. Note that barbecue pork (char siu) contains honey.

One of the best vegetarian restaurant in Hong Kong.

Good food, varieties of choice in Chinese, Western, or Japanese style. It gives you satisfactions no matter what choices you make. By the way, good services is one of the reasons I frequently haunted this restaurant.

Impressed!

I was a bit hesitant to try this place because other reviews were not very good but I was very happy with my pastry mushroom soup, fried noodles, and veggies. Generally speaking, the place seemed to be popular amongst older generations. We were surrounded by local families at all times.

Pros: Delicious Chinese vegetarian restaurant , Extensive menu, English menu available

Cons: Staff may not be the friendliest

Okay for high Street cafe

Not the best Chinese food we had in Hong Kong. If you want something quick and fills your belly, give it a go.

Pros: Alot of options, there are pictures on menu

Cons: Oily dishes, bland, poor service

Do not recommend (1 Star)

The food was absolutely not worth it compared to the price point. It was extremely overpriced while the food was nothing like the pictures.

The staffs were also unfriendly and extremely rushed. They started mopping with bleach around our table an hour before closing time. The towel that they used to wiped the tables were also never rinsed in between uses.

Also, this isn't that big of a deal but they didn't return our full change. Although it was only a $1, it is the thought that counts.

Pros: Interesting dishes, suitable for non-vegetarians

Cons: Expensive, Bad service, Overall not worthy

Not vegan-friendly

Gaia Veggie chain is well-known for its "bad services". It's no exception in this Tsuen Wan branch. We haven't finished our dinner and they quickly come to our table to serve desserts and collect the dishes. The place is very crowded.
Most of the food contains egg and sadly there is no indication for dairy products.... They are also not sure if mock meats contains egg or dairy products... It's really not vegan-friendly.
The food is not bad, but quite oily and greasy.

Pros: Long menu with lots of choices

Cons: Bad service, Not vegan-friendly.

Gaia Veggie Shop , Tsuen Wan

The lady who runs this chain of eateries is very nice. In being compelled to report the facts I thus regret to say that she does not have any understanding of the concept of veganism. Any dishes that are on the menu are vegan by coincidence rather than intent. Trust their attention to detail in reporting egg and dairy content in dishes at your own peril. For example that the menu indicates that some dishes contain egg implicitly implies that dishes without that symbol do not contain egg. Only take that to mean that the chef doesn't add egg to a dish. Do not take that to mean that any ingredients such as mock are egg free. Also the do not take to mean that there is a high level of rigour in the kitchen to protect against contamination of non vegan ingredients via the utensils they use in the kitchen.

Nice Food but Service Non-Existent

Very crowded on Sat evening and table area was very cramp.
Ordered 2 main dishes, Toufu and mock fish, both were tasty. Our main dish was served prompty but our rice never arrived even though we reminded them trice. I enquired about dessert when I saw it being served at the next table. We were told by the waitress it will be given FOC after our main meal. They disappointed us further, as the dessert never arrived.

The ultimate mockery was they charged us for the rice which was not delivered. We had a difficult time explaining to them as they did not believe us and sent their waitress to verify our table. In addition, one of the waitress asked if we enjoyed their "missing" dessert. When she learnt that the dessert was not served to us, she invited us to take a seat and wait for the dessert. No Thanks, our patience has been drained.

We had a very bad experience with their poor service as ultimately we were still charged for the rice at HK30.
