Non-veg

Serves meat, vegan options available. They have a short, but sweet list of vegan meals on the menu: Beyond Burger (with Vegenaise). Also has several sides, soups, salads, and appetizers that are labeled vegetarian but could easily be made vegan if not already. They do have a separate fryer for (non)meat but, of course, things happen, so always be sure to double-check. As with many other non-vegetarian places in Wilmington, the staff is really veg-friendly and knowledgeable. The full menu is served tall day. Open Mon-Sun 11:30am-12:00am.

It's fine

I appreciated the clearly marked vegan options (chik'n wrap or chik'n tenders). I opted for the tenders, which came with a choice of 2 sides (fries and garden salad for me). Despite asking about what was vegan from the list of sides, the garden salad came out with cheese. It was easy enough to remove. Not the most exciting meal, but it served its purpose.

Must Try

Get the vegan chicken tender plate with some Sweet Baby Rays. They are the best vegan tendies I've ever eaten. I'm having withdrawals. 🤤

Pros: Air conditioning , Good Atmosphere, Friendly staff

Ranch chickn wrap :)

I love the chickn wrap but i’m not a fan of bbq sauce so i ask for it to be left off and replaced with vegan ranch. I think they’ve left the bbq on a couple times and put the ranch on the side a couple times so it’s not super customizable but I know they’re a busy restaurant so I’ve started ordering a salad with the vegan ranch and chickn instead and it’s really good too

Pros: Yummy, Great beer options (idk if they’re vegan tho)

Love me tenderly

I love Front Street Brewery. In the past I gave them a negative review because their wasn’t much vegan options. But their vegan Chick’n wrap is delicious. They also have a tender plate as well. I hope to see more vegan options soon!

It was very delicious

The food was very delicious. I got the vegan fried chicken wrap and it was delicious.

Pros: Delicious

Cons: Mess up one of our orders and had to remake it.

Fine if you’re with non-vegans

If you need an omni place to go with friends it’s not that bad. Despite the last review, they do still have vegan options, however they didn’t seem all that interested in answering our questions. Got no clear answer on whether or not they use animal products in the brewing process of any of their beers. Also, I found it strange that their beyond burger with vegannaise comes on a brioche bun which are typically made with eggs and butter. We swapped it out just to be sure. The fries are battered in something too, so I wouldn’t be surprised if they use an egg wash or dairy mixture before frying those. The chicken tenders were definitely vegan but nothing to write home about. Probably won’t go back.

Pros: Cool location

Cons: Only offers meat replacer type vegan food, Staff doesn’t seem interested in helping out

I was so disappointed that they no longer have the jackfruit bbq on the menu.

Chose this place because Happy Cow said they have bbq jackfruit. Server said it wasn’t a popular choice so they removed it from the menu. Settled for the Beyond Burger instead. At least they have veganaise. Homemade chips are excellent.

Pros: Several vegan options

Cons: No vegan cheese for the Beyond burger

Meh.

Had the jackfruit bbq. It was very ho hum. The sauce was standard Sweet Baby Rays. The jackfruit was very mediocre. The entree doesn't come with a roll which would've likely enhanced the taste as it would add something to an otherwise unremarkable dish. The rice was good but it's also hard to screw up rice.

Pros: They aren't expensive

Cons: The food is unremarkable

Gather with Friends

Full disclosure: I work here. I've been vegan the whole time I've worked here and the support and action from the management team to include vegan/vegetarian options has been amazing. I feel very proud to work for a restaurant/brewery that supports the vegan movement.
Being that I am vegan and most of my friends are not, it is amazing to have a place where we can all go and eat happily! Highly recommend the jackfruit. Pro tip: They're famous for the nachos and to make them vegan take off cheese (queso and shredded cheese), sour cream and chicken, add jackfruit, rice and avocado pico!

Hey Lauren! I lived in the Dub for about 6 years and this was my fave restaurant downtown! So glad to hear that you've had such a strong influence on the the vegan friendliness of their food. Back in the day, I LOVED beer nuggets. It would be my dream come true if they'd do a vegan option!!! But regardless, I'm all about that nacho suggestion you gave. I'll be visiting sometime in Sept or Oct so I'll definitely try it out😄

Great place with options for everyone

I've been here a few times and would always pass it by thinking they wouldn't have anything for me to eat. I went in with my others thinking I would just drink beer while everyone else ate. They had a number of options. The next time I went in, they had added a vegan burger also. I was very impressed with the quality of the food and recommend it for anyone wanting options that aren't just fries.

Pros: Different options for everyone, A couple healthier vegan options, Great Service and Beer

Cons: Although Beyond is fine, needs a housemade burger

Few Options, Gross

They were out of the jackfruit plate and both buns for the Beyond Burger contain eggs. I ended up with a pretzel and an $8 wilted salad with browning cabbage and olive oil/vinegar, and I got sick later, so I’m pretty sure the pretzel wasn’t vegan despite being told it was.

Pros: Good beer

Cons: Few options, Out of the only vegan option, Horrible food

Jackfruit BBQ... Seriously!

That meal alone is worth going here; seriously... Uncommon to find and was delicious... Would've been even better with bread but I didn't think to ask... Different side options available; some already vegan or can be made that way... The server took it upon himself to confirm vegan with the kitchen, make sure they didn't use bacon in the green beans, which I appreciate... They normally have a separate fryer for (non)meat but that night one was broken so the other was being shared; yep always ask

Pros: Vegan-friendly, Server
