Food not good

Good location but the food was not edible. The main taste in the tofu scramble is a lot of soy sauce. The waitress saw that I did not touch it and she took it off the bill. Which is why I give it 2 stars

Flying Biscuit (Stonecrest) - Breakfast

My wife & I had the Vegan Tofu Scramble and were very pleased. We've tried several tofu scrambles before - in restaurants and self-made, and could never find one we liked. For that reason we were skeptical going into it, but had always very pleased with everything we got from Flying Biscuit before going vegan. Yes, there was a distinct tamari flavor, but we really enjoyed it. The waitress was very helpful. When she brought out our breakfast, she told us, if we were vegan, just to know that the biscuits (which come with the breakfast) are not. We appreciated her letting us know. Do we wish there were more vegan options - sure. However, it is still something, and it more than many breakfast restaurants have. How can I rate them poorly for at least having a viable option, when most of their competitors do not.

Pros: Nice atmosphere, Friendly Staff

Cons: Minimal vegan options (but at least something!)

not great

The waitress was very nice and knowledgeable. There are two vegan options. I had the tofu eggs. They weren't good at all. It was just tofu soaked in tamari with some veggies.

Pros: nice staff

Cons: only 2 vegan options

Love the black bean cakes!

We moved to Charlotte a week ago and have already come twice for breakfast. I ordered the tofu scramble with the black bean cakes as my side (for an upcharge). My husband veganized the Mexican wrap by having them use tofu scramble and black bean cakes.
We had a side of wheat toast and apple butter. All food was fantastic! And the server was very helpful
Also, they have soy milk for coffee

Pros: Apple butter for toast! , Friendly , Delicious food

Cons: They can’t veganize their breakfast potatoes , No vegan biscuit

Not the best, but not the worst...

The good news is that I asked the restaurant to cook my tofu scramble and moon-dusted potatoes in oil, not butter, and they obliged. (Despite IDing myself as a vegan, I still ended up with an buttermilk biscuit on the side, though. Hmm.) The bad news was that this was the worst tofu scramble I've eaten in 15-years of veganism. Doused in tamari to the point where it was barely edible, seemingly just warmed versus cooked, and so, so salty - and I'm a gal who loves her salt. On the other hand, the potatoes were good and my omni husband enjoyed his meal, so...maybe their scramble was having an off day? Friendly service, good experience otherwise.

I've ordered the tofu scramble twice - once it was just like you said - way too much tamari. Second time it was great! My husband had it another day and said it was really good that day as well. Maybe different cooks? I'm willing to try again but will maybe ask for them to go easy on the tamari.

I got the biscuit on the side too - sounds like they need to be a little more vegan-aware!

BE CAREFUL but there are vegan selections to have!

the one item labeled vegan on the menu is the BBQ burrito with collards, tofu and mushrooms in a tortilla. the Angel/Devil burgers ARE housemade and can be vegan if you leave off the cheese. Scrambled tofu is an option but you must ask that it NOT be cooked in butter.(last 2 times I've ordered it this way, it still came out cooked in butter...)Hummus is vegan; so are the Love Cakes naked. Many think the "moon dusted" potatoes are vegan but I've been told in ATL and CLT by managers that they ARE cooked in butter. Servers are not real clear what's vegan or not in the Charlotte locations- it took 3 servers and a line cook to figure out the love cakes don't use egg as a binder when I inquired on my last visit (I still emailed the corp. office to confirm this)

Pros: variety on menu, reasonably priced, loud & upbeat vibe

Cons: server/ manager ignorance of items, crowded, small space
