Much improved range - Edit
Since I first visited a few years back where it was just the usual five bean chilli, the latest menu has hugely improved with lots of really nice options like a mushroom stroganoff starter and a Moving Mountains burger

Lovely family run cafe with a really cute traditional setting and a great outside eating area.
Read moreI opted for spiced lentil soup, lots of flavour and I enjoyed. Staff were really friendly, talked me through all the vegan options. Will definitely return.

Fellbites - 3.5 Stars - Edit
After completing Striding Edge and Swirral Edge during our Helvellyn hike, we were famished and so happy to find this option awaiting us at the bottom of the fell.
Read moreThere are loads of vegan options here. I had a vegan burger with fries. My burger was OK…I think they use Moving Mountains patties (which are not my favorite) and the bun was a bit dry. The vegan cheese on the burger was delicious and the side of fries were also tasty. Again, it was nice to have this option after completing England’s most dangerous hike! 😀

Have oat and soy milk for hot drinks and had two vegan cakes. Also had a vegan burger and chilli on the menu (which I didn't try) but the cake was superb!!

Good value vegan food - Edit
In an area with no other recommendations and no vegan offering from its competitors, Fellbites was a joy to discover. Lovely outdoor seating options, friendly staff and great prices. The portions are hugely generous, and there are good vegan options. Notably, their burger is delicious and there is also five bean chilli, and a bolognese in the evening.
