Great Vegan Food - Edit
We really like Escobar, there are a few vegan options (enough to make me think what to have). They also have vegan desserts too 😊 Warning, the cauliflower is SPICY! 🥵🔥

Dissapointing - Edit
Service was great but the food was flavourless. The tomato sauce on the nachos was like they had opened a jar of pasta sauce and dumped it on. None of the food arrived hot, it was all quite tepid. I wouldn't recommend this place.

Absolutely Fine - Edit
Has a few vegan options although worth noting most are spicy if that’s not your thing. Food is okay, good prices and service.

Disappointing - Edit
Cauliflower in batter for starter - it was a bit bland.
Read moreVegetable burrito type thing for main - vegetables very plain and not much flavour. Bit of a carb fest
Staff friendly and non-vegan friends seemed to enjoy their food, but wouldn’t recommend for vegan food choices

Vegan menu - Edit
Special vegan menu with several options.
Read moreGood food! Personally did not like the music, reggaeton/latin, but it is nowadays THE typical music in the Spanish world, so it does fit the style.
Pros: Vegan menu
Cons: Reggaeton/latin all the time

Meh - Edit
Firstly I’d like to mention I never leave poor or average reviews. The House margaritas were some of the worst I’ve had, excessively sweet! I ordered the cauliflower starter, which was cold, I also ordered the jackfruit tacos which didn’t arrive until I asked about them by which time my partner had almost already finished his average meal, which he suspects may contain Uncle Bens Mexican rice. I’m not yet sure how the tacos taste though as I’m still waiting for them whilst writing this 🫤

Texmex - Edit
Good TexMex style food. Not too many options, but everything is clearly marked on the veg menu. I would recommend ordering the nachos and waiting until your food arrives to eat them, so you can use some of the toppings on the main. The chimichanga especially, would have benefited from the added moisture and flavor.

Vibrant - Edit
Vibrant venue with fun colourful decor. There is a separate vegan menu with a selection of choices. The nachos were alright. I wasn't feeling like a main meal and the size of them was good for one. Staff were friendly.

Left satisfied - Edit
The restaurant is nicely decorated along the Mexican theme and the music lively but not too loud. The staff were positive and efficient. It was great to be able to order off a vegan menu. We shared the nachos and both ordered the tacos. We then shared the brownie and ice cream. The meal was very tasty and if I lived in Inverness, I would be a regular.

Vegan Tex Mex - Edit
Ask for the vegan menu, which comes on a separate sheet. There were enough options to choose from and we really appreciated that the options weren’t compromised. It was full on rex mex, served with vegan cheese and meat substitutes like jackfruit. Also they didn’t hold back with the amount of cheese!

Great vegan options, even desserts! - Edit
They have a separate vegan menu with very solid options, also desserts like a vegan brownie with ice cream. I didn’t see vegan sour cream anywhere like the reviews say but my chimichanga did have some kind of sauce on top.

Yum - Edit
Great food, staff are knowledgeable about vegan stuff, felt in good hands! Cauliflower bites are not vegan as made with an egg based batter, I was looking forward to getting them as I read another review with them; but they are not vegan. But the staff are totally clear! We got jackfruit tacos, spicy veg tacos, and the chimichanga which ohhh my god was my favourite. The fries that came with it are delicious!! Got a peach and passionfruit margarita which was gorgeous, and my husband got a no-jito that he loved!! 40 quid for it all. They're super dog friendly too, our dog was happy and made very welcome :)

Really good for vegans - Edit
Really delicious food with good size portions. The chimichanga was particularly good 👍 Staff were really friendly and understood about veganism. The only con was the length of time it took to get our drinks but they were short staffed so it may have been an isolated incident!

Lots of options but a bit hit and miss - Edit
Plenty of vegetarian options listed on the menu which can be made vegan with the cheese and sour cream.

Overall it was pretty good in terms of flavours as you’d expect with Mexican/Tex mex but cheese was hard and had not melted. The tacos shell was cold and personally I would have liked it warmed up.

Yummy and filling - Edit
The menu only shows vegetarian options but the waiter explained that any of those could be made vegan as they have vegan cheese and.. wait for it.. vegan sour cream!
Read moreWe had the nachos, enchiladas, tacos and spicy cauliflower bites. The portions were generous and it all tasted great.
Prices were not bad with £4 for cauliflower bites, £13 enchiladas, £6.75 for three tacos.
