Good food but...

I went when it was incredibly busy and goth weekend.
I did what the menu stated which was vegetarian hot dog with "make it vegan" and they brought it out with cheese on. I queried it, and they said yeah should be vegan but we all know what generic vegan cheese looks like (naff) and I got them to check with the kitchen. It was cheese. The server had not written vegan, just veggie, even though he knew it was meant to be vegan. They were very apologetic, offered me free drinks, but I just said I'd prefer a fresh hot dog and they did so. The hot dog itself was really good but I was starving and cold so 🤣 from experience they prefer you to ask for a vegan hot dog!

Great atmosphere

Vegan burger was delicious, more vegan options would be amazing. They had put loads of effort in decorating for Halloween, the place looked amazing and staff were friendly.

Pros: Lovely staff, Decorated well, Food was delicious

Grate Place!

Nice, Friendly, helpful staff, has a good small selection of Vegetarian & Vegan options.
I had the Vegan Hot Dog & it was brilliant, we did have a bit of a wait for the food but it was very much worth the wait! I would definitely come here again!

Pros: Good Location., Good Food., Friendly staff.

Cons: Does not have Vegan Desserts or Milkshakes.

Disappointing and Feel Ripped Off

Very limited Vegan options. We had the vegan hotdog which consisted of cheap veggie sausages and cheap frozen fries for about £15. Similarly, I had a veggie burger which consisted of a cheap frozen patti you get from Aldi and fries if which some were mouldy, and this was £17!

Pros: It is a novelty

Cons: Not a lot of choice, Cheap frozen food sold at expensive prices.

Tasty food!

Only two options for vegans but really tasty and presented well, portions are a very good size. We had hot dogs and fries with pancakes after 🌭🍟🥞 Lots of milkshakes on offer (50s diner) but no mention of alternative milk available, we didn't ask though so they may have been able to do it.

Pros: Really tasty food, Lovely staff, Great music!

Cons: More options would be fab 😊

Gorgeous food!

Stopped here with my husband when visiting Whitby earlier this month, we love a good diner and as soon as I found Emma's on the happy cow app I knew we had to visit ☺️ I ordered the vegan burger and it was beautiful, the patty is a really gorgeous vegetable filling! As much as I love meat substitutes this was a welcome surprise, it makes a nice change to have a veg based main in places that aren't 100% vegan. Staff were lovely, the only drawback was that we didn't get desserts because we didn't have enough cash to cover more than our mains and drinks (there is a sign in the doorway warning that it's cash only, but by this point we didn't want to go back on ourselves looking for a cash machine), a shame because I would have loved to try the vegan pancakes!

Pros: Lovely vegan mains, Friendly and attentive staff, Gorgeous diner with a jukebox playing 50s hits
