Simply superb

Let’s be honest, this place is expensive, but it is wonderful. Part of the Anse Chastanet resort, you can actually eat from the Emeralds menu in any of their three restaurants, but Emeralds has been set up so people who are sensitive to such things can eat vegan without meat and fish being on a nearby table. All gluten free food is also clearly marked and, if you’re staying for a while, Chef Frank will cook something ‘off menu’ so you don’t have to repeat eat things.

Pros: Quality of food, Ambiance and location, Attitude of chefs and staff

Super cool menu, but the textures were not for me.

It was great to have a whole vegan menu at the hotel! All the veg was grown by the hotel’s farm as well - amazing! I had the mango teriyaki tempeh with risotto and the coconut pot stew.

However, sadly the food wasn’t for me - I don’t often find textures hard to eat, but I struggled. The tempeh was made into a salmon fillet shape, but kind of fell apart and merged with the risotto textures, and i didn’t get much mango taste. The stew was better however!

I do recommend eating there, as I may have had the wrong dishes, and it seems the menu changes often.

Pros: All veg grown in house, Entire vegan menu

Cons: Some dishes had strange taste/textur

Vegan heaven if you call ahead and ask for Chef Frank

I am staying at Anse Chastanet. I am vegan and gluten free. I ate everything vegan and gluten free on the menu during the first meal. The restaurant manager was very nice and eager to cater to my diet. I eat mostly vegetables. They took a list of what vegetables/foods I eat and Chef Frank orchestrated incredible meals for me including sweet potato gnocchi and beet and carrot zoodles with tofu. You must try the chocolate, it is made on site. Emerald Farm is an organic farm that serves the restaurant and you can take a tour of it. Emerald’s is essentially the same thing as the Treetop restaurant. Most people sit in the Treetop restaurant to dine and you can order from either menu. If you are hard core vegan where you don’t want to dine next to meat eaters then you can sit in Emerald’s. They don’t have a lot of vegans so you may be sitting by yourself. Both are open (no walls) just different areas of the resort.

Middle of the Road

A completely vegan menu which is excellent in a place where vege food can be tough to find, but sadly the food was mediocre. The Anse Chastanet/Jade Mountain resort has two other restaurants- The Jade Club and the Trou a Diable, both of which have far fewer options, but those they do have are absolutely outstanding so I would recommend these over Emeralds

Anse Chastanet Resort is a Vegan/Vegetarian/GlutenFree Paradise!!

How rare and wonderful it is to find a Caribbean resort with as many vegan, vegetarian, and gluten free options as I have found here at Anse Chastanet Resort! The pinnacle moment was dinner last night at Emerald’s, a fully vegan restaurant with such exotic food that I don’t even know what they used to prepare all of the delightful tastes and sights that I consumed there! Also of note are the many vegan choices at breakfast and even when lying on the beach! What an unexpected treat it has been to dine at Anse Chastanet Resort! I wish I could stay here forever!

Pros: Emeralds restaurant , Vegan choices on the beach, Unusual selections with local foods

Cons: I wish I could stay longer
