I asked if they can change eggs and cheese by some fruits. They simply said “no”. Staying stoic. I had a very bad experience. This place is not vegan friendly at all.

Great place off the Main Street through town - Edit
They had many vegetarian options that could be made vegan. The fresh fruit drinks were so good - we had Cas and Guanabana. Fresh fruit plate hit the spot for lunch. Forgot to take pictures before we ate! We had a party of 10 and were served very quickly

Very attentive staff - Edit
I visited here after seeing the previous HappyCow reviews so I must admit I was disappointed to see that no items on the menu were marked as vegan. However, the staff were very extremely attentive and helpful and explained that several of the items on the menu could be veganised.

Nos sentimos muy cómodos en éste lugar. Te dan la bienvenida con una entrada de plátanos fritos con una salsa de frijoles molidos y un vaso de agua. (gratuito)

También te sirven un postre gratis (arroz con leche). No lo probamos, porque no era vegano.
La comida fue básica, pero buena. No hay que esperar nada del otro mundo pero es comida buena a un precio muy bueno y el servicio fue excelente.

It won’t let me give 5 stars, but it deserves them! - Edit
As two vegans, this was our go to place and the only one we went to multiple times. Local place and authentic feel, fresh, delicious vegetables and the cheapest in town too. They knew what’s vegan and what isn’t and suggested our food to us. During one of our visits, they brought us platanos and beans dip as well as a desert on the house, and in total, we paid 9500 Colones (~16 USD) for two huge casadas and two delicious juices.
Read moreNo vegan labels on the menu, but they have the local classics like pico de gallo and vegetables as well as casadas. The picture shows two „casadas vegetarianos sin queso y huevos“, they usually add extra vegetables instead. Definitely go here if you want healthy budget friendly food!!!
