Serves traditional Chinese Malaysian meals such as an economic rice buffet, different fried mee, fried rice, a large choice of steam buns, banana leaf curry and more. Also has a large choice of different beverages. Open Mon-Sat 7:00am-8:00pm. Closed Sun. (if 1st & 15th of lunar month fall on Sunday, next day will be the rest day)

Buffet done right! - Edit
Walk in, get a plate, fill it with meat replacements, veggies, rice, noodles and more, pay - depending on what you took -, find a seat and enjoy! Delicious, affordable, amazing. Good English is spoken too, they’re super friendly and you get to make great conversations with the locals if you’re in for that, since tables are shared with everyone.

At Ee Beng at 8:30am. It's not busy & I'm the only foreigner No idea what I'm eating, but it's all veg, with different tastes and textures.
Read moreIt's self service. After you finish loading up your plate, a lady eyeballs it and then decides what to charge you. My plate was only 14 Ringgit (AUD$5)!
They also serve a variety of drinks. Look for the the menus posted on the walls.

This vegan/vegetarian shophouse in Penang’s historic district is a fantastic place to sample Chinese vegetarian options.

At the end the shop lady will tell you how much it is… super reasonable or should I dare say cheap… and delicious! Yum.

Friendly staff, just grab a plate and fill it up! I do wish there were signs saying what things were, but everything I tried was great, such a range of mock meats. My plate was 18rm, once I'd paid at table, another lady asked if I needed a drink, so I helped myself from the fridge, then she came over and took 2.50rm payment for that. I realised when paying they also do things like burgers too. Nothing was too spicy!

Lots of vegan options to choose from. I checked if anything in the buffet had milk or eggs and they said no. Worth checking though if the dishes change. Particularly loved the eggless kaya bao and red bean bao. Pretty affordable too - two of us with drinks, plates filled up and two baps came to RM32.

This is my favourite buffet in Malaysia so far! There are so many different options of mock meats, tofu and lots of veggies which isn’t always the case. I liked all the dishes, and as always the price is perfect. They also have lots of flavours of steamed buns and some pre packaged meals in takeaway boxes.

I got a full plate of different things for 22 Ringit. Unfortunately I did not like any of the stuff there. It didn't taste like anything and was also cold. It's not a nice place to sit and also too hot as they have fans only.

Solid. Good vegetarian food with a wide selection of dishes at budget friendly prices. It's self service, you compose your dish and they tell you the price. Overall good quality and nice flavours. Great prices. Very simple location perfect for a quick meal. Friendly staff who speak English. Absolutely recommended!

Buffet experience, lots of mushrooms dishes and some fake meat. Good spice levels, only thing a bit spicy was one of the curries. Really nice tofu too. Ladies working there were very welcoming and cost 9RM for this plate. Didn’t know what most was but enjoyed it all!

Big fan of this place! The lady working there was so nice and happy to answer any questions and recommend dishes. She said everything was vegan that day which was great. You choose what you want from the buffet and pay at the counter. There's a huge variety of mock meats and vegetable dishes and it's great value.

This self service buffet is easy with great food. No idea what i had but it was delicious although we went at 7ish so not everything was hot. Still 5* though for 2 soft drinks and a plate each for 19RM
