A hyper seasonal, low impact, architect-designed restaurant in the heart of Hackney. Serving veg-focussed seasonal 6 course tasting menu with optional specials and drinks pairing available in the evening. Shorter 3 plate tasting menu available at other times. Low intervention wines and zero waste cocktails are a speciality. Open Wed-Fri 17:00-21:00, Sat 12:00-21:00.

What a treat! - Edit
This place is amazing. I got the full 7-course taster menu, with 5 wine-pairings and it was absolutely out of this world! They are so passionate about what they are doing, and it really shows.

Vegan Fine-Dining Done Right - Edit
Celebrating our anniversary at EDIT on Mare Street was a delight. We savoured a delicious six-course vegan tasting menu with impeccable service, each dish showcasing fresh, seasonal, and local ingredients. EDIT goes beyond flavour with a strong commitment to sustainability and minimal waste, making it a perfect fit for the friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Though a bit pricey, the expertly paired wines and detailed explanations elevated the entire experience. EDIT is where fine dining meets environmental responsibility, and we highly recommend it!

One of my favourite restaurants in London - Edit
Not only is the food incredibly delicious & creative but this restaurant has sustainability at heart. All the dishes are made from local & seasonal produce & the service is also stellar! On the expensive side but honestly so worth it!

It's interesting - Edit
I really liked the venue, friendly staff and the general vibe. Unfortunately the food was a bit of a mixed bag. I could tell the ingredients were of high quality but some of the dishes were simply not very imaginative and lacking character. Will try again in a bit - the menu is seasonal so it constantly changes.

Amazing tasting menu - Edit
We had the tasting menu with wine pairing, and it was so well thought out. Every dish was incredible with an interesting explanation from the waitress. It is also good value for the quality of food. Highly recommended.

EDIT Excellence - Edit
What a find! Located on the hustle and bustle of Hackney’s Mare Street, a stone’s throw from Hackney Empire/London Fields, is this absolute gem of a restaurant. Hard to pick a fault with any of it. They are open daily and evenings and weekends, with a continuously changing menu of seasonal plant based dishes. They talk about a low waste and circular approach to the mouth watering menu, which means they use everything in every dish, all sourced locally. My favourites being the Beetroot Fritters and carrot lox on English muffin from the Saturday Brunch menu…in fact it was so good that we returned for a fully plant based SUNDAY ROAST!!! O M G !!! This has to be experienced to be believed…unbelievably good with Vegan Yorkshire Puddings too!!!

Delicious well-being - Edit
The restaurants overall concept is very good. Ultra local food, no wast. This sustainable approach however does not limit the pallet but enhances it! The tasting menu was superb and varied. One can taste and feel that the food is good for the environment and oneself the same time.

Early (and exciting) days - Edit
A brand new space with an urban set up that offers an intimate experience.
Read moreThe menu rather short but enticing with an emphasis on fermentation.
I had the dips and pickles accompanied by rather divine slices of bread.
The main was lentil haggis (actually I thought more of a ragu) wrapped in fermented cabbage leaves and potato puree. Perhaps the texture was a little too sticky and the cabbage leaves a little too hard for me, but the strongly flavoured lentils made up for a robustly flavoured dish.
The menu will be changing regularly, if not daily and can't wait to experience more creative veg power.
Pros: Exciting menu ideas, Reasonably priced for the quality
Cons: Few more options perhaps when kitchen settles

A brilliant addition to the London vegan scene - Edit
From the owners of Supernature. Sharing plates and mains. Very vegetable focused. And low waste. In a lovely space in the heart of Hackney.
