Beautiful Atmosphere & Experience - Edit
One of my all-time favorite places, and the jump start to my foodie crave of visiting vegan restaurants whenever possible. Beautifully unique environment with a culturally rich atmosphere. The workers are very friendly, the building is very comfy, and the food is delicious. Definitely recommend the tacos and chicken waffles! This was a place that I definitely returned to.

Great food and inspirational owner - Edit
We ordered a kale salad with vegan bbq chicken and a platter with 3 of the classic dishes (we selected the mac and cheese, chickpea stew, and hash browns). The food was made with quality ingredients and offered some unique flavors. Beyond the delicious food, the best part of my visit was having the opportunity to talk to the owner, an inspirational woman who shared some stories about her vegan journey and creative recipes. If you are in the area I certainly recommend stopping by.
Read moreNote that the food is freshly made upon order and takes some time until it is ready (depending on how long they say, you can walk along the river walk).

Very impressed - Edit
Everything here is vegan besides the ice cream. I had the mushroom steak tacos and they were out of this world delicious. Washed it down with a sea moss frappuccino of some sort that I wish I would've ordered 3 of. Awesome! The owners/workers were very friendly and welcoming. Outdoor seating right on the Riverwalk! I will definitely be coming back!

Pleasant location on the Christina river, part of Wilmington River Walk. Nearby free public parking in front of Planet Fitness. Benches & some tables for outside dining.

We loved everything we ordered. Very flavorful and satisfying.
Read moreWe had the Vsteak, chicken tacos, and the Olmec sandwich. They were all great, but the Olmec really stood out as our favorite. Would recommend calling ahead for pickup, as it takes about an hour to prepare the food. Worth the wait, but just plan ahead.
I thought it was strange that a vegan restaurant ("vegan" branded on the door, powerful vegan declaration on their website, etc), would serve dairy ice cream? So even though they've got the most amazing vegan food, that was kind of a bummer to see. I would've absolutely ordered some dairy-free ice cream if it were available!

Pros: Amazing flavor, delicious, Unique flavors & creative menu, Both indulgent and healthy options

Meh.. - Edit
Several items on the menu weren’t available, Waited about 25 minutes to get our food, went to the rest room while I waited and the lock didn’t lock and had a man walk in on me and on top of that the food wasn’t as good as it was hyped up to be.

Good but not if you are on a time crunch - Edit
Similar to other reviews I have come here a few times over the years (I grew up in the area but live out of state). I have found that their food isn't bad nor great. My last visit I settled on them due to price and location (I was on my way back home from visiting family). The main cons are the menu confusion and the long wait times. For example, I ordered a cheesesteak and some cornbread but I wanted some fries (which are only listed as the fries with gravy). When I arrived to pick up my order I asked if they did fries on their own and they said yes. I was excited and I was ready to order but they said it would take 15 minutes. I couldn't wait that long due to needing to travel.

Soo good!! - Edit
t was so good. My daughter got the cheezeburger with a side of fries while I got the v steak and Jerusalem fries. Both were excellent. It's a very eclectic restaurant with many throw back items like old games and telephones. Even a piano in the back. You can tell it's family ownedbh all the pictures around.

I love the entire menu. Always grab a G.O.A.T. wrap. Yes, they have dairy ice cream. Keeps them busy on river walk. But all homemade vegan grub.

worth the wait! - Edit
Placed a pickup order online and while it took a little longer than anticipated, but after one bite I didn't care about that at all. We had the Subliminal and the Olmec and they were both, just down to the last ingredient, perfect. We've tried a vegan hoagies at a few different places recently and been disappointed, but this one was exactly what we'd been craving. Will definitely be back to try everything else!

Favorite ever - Edit
This will forever be my favorite vegan restaurant and I recommend it to anyone who will listen. I’ve never had a meal here that I didn’t like, and the same goes for all of the non-vegan people that I’ve brought here over the years. The food, drinks, desserts, staff, ambience, location, etc. are wonderful and I lovingly encourage, actually implore, everyone reading this to go check it out!! My favorite items are the v-steak, chickun tacos, and ofc the yam chips.

Tasty food with a lot of buts - Edit
Still not 100% sure where I stand with this place. While I would steer clear of their chili and fries, most of their food is really good, so I am squeezing in a 4th star but... DSK can be very confusing.
Read moreAs many have already mentioned, the first thing you see when you enter is a dairy ice cream display, which doesn't quite align with their "unapologetically vegan" slogan. I don't even think they have a single vegan ice cream on that list.
The business' official website is A MESS. The hours are listed differently in different parts of the website, and the links are broken to the point where you can't even pull up the menu. At this point you are forced to take the online order route, but the problem is that they have multiple online order menus consisting of different items, and I have yet to find one that would actually list their entire menu, drinks included. The only real menu seems to be the one they hand you at the restaurant, but even there they have a random menu on the wall that is full of interesting items they don't actually offer?.. The cashier always has like 7 daily specials to recite, which, quite frankly, neither party can keep up with. I cannot fathom why they wouldn't just repurpose their wall for daily specials instead of a pointless list of unavailable things.
Another issue I have with them is that the food takes 40+ minutes to prepare, which is pretty much double the wait time they give you over the phone. The few times they promised to bring out the take-out order once it was ready, we just ended up going back in for the nth time to find our order sitting on the counter.
Lovely riverside location they don't take advantage of on Sundays.
Pros: Fresh, tasty food, Lots of options, Plenty of parking nearby
Cons: Long wait times, Very limited indoor seating, Menu and hours are a mess

Awesome Food in a Beautiful Location - Edit
Delicious vegan food, creatively and lovingly prepared, and an absolutely beautiful outdoor courtyard by the river. Staff is very nice, bathroom decor is cool. This place would be perfect if they didn’t sell dairy ice cream. I plan to return whenever I’m in Wilmington and I’ve already recommended this wonderful establishment to people I know who live and work there.

Wouldn’t return - Edit
I was excited to see a vegan option along the Riverfront but as soon as you enter there is a large “dairy ice cream” sign posted listing their non-vegan ice cream options. I think it’s a little misleading to label as all vegan. Long wait time (50 mins) plus nowhere to comfortably wait for your order inside with all of the traffic for ice cream orders so it was sitting on the counter for some time when I went in to check on its status. Tacos, BLT and Mac and cheese all overly salty (and I love salt!). All around a disappointing experience with the food, service, and non-vegan menu items.

Friendly staff, tasty food, NOT full vegan restaurant they sell dairy ice cream - Edit
So when I walked in I thought this place was full vegan because of happy cow. Then I saw a giant sign “dairy ice dream” kosher certified. I asked the friendly lady at the counter about it and she told me that her grandmother had an ice cream shop in Wilmington and that’s how she supported the family; and that is what made it possible for her to start this plant based restaurant. Anyway, the food I got the walnut meat wrap, it was good, crunchy wrap, but it was a bit small. Kale and Mac and cheeze were yummy!

Great Flavors - Edit
Tried a few different things like their famous cheesesteak sandwich, jerk chicken tacos, curry wrap, and some of their drinks. Everything was pretty delicious. The flavors of some of these were just too perfect, but as a gluttonous American, I was disappointed by the regular portion sizes because I could've eaten 3 of those cheesesteaks!
Read moreI do think they should drop the dairy ice cream from the menu, especially when you choose to label yourself vegan and put it in the door. Dairy ice cream does not belong, but the rest of the food is impressive and I'll definitely be back to try some more.

Delicious Vegan Soul Food in a Comfy atmosphere. - Edit
Really chill vibe at this hiphop inspired soul kitchen. I had the V Steak which was absolutely delicious! I whoa'd 3x. My partner has the Garvey (which I assume was named after Marcus). It was in a warp which had a crisp eggroll texture. I would highly recommend checking this place out. Only tip, would be to call ahead as everything is fresh so it takes time for perfection.

Love it! - Edit
Full vegan menu, and I’ve never had anything I didn’t like. The cheesesteaks are delicious, and I’m pretty sure they make their own meat substitute. Smoothies are a special treat! Good Vegan comfort food is hard to find, but Drop Squad hit the mark. Definitely a must!! I would recommend ordering ahead if you’re in a hurry, otherwise you might have a bit of wait. However, it’s located on the Riverfront so there are things to do to kill time. Not a lot of indoor seating, but like I said, great location to have a little picnic!

Subpar by anyone standards - Edit
I guess this the only option for Vegan restaurants in Wilmington, DE so vegans are forced to give this spot a try. With the overly salted food and poor service, I would rather take my chances at a regular restaurant and hope they can veganize (New word) my meal. It seems the entire staff may be the children of the owner or they just hired a bunch of 17 year olds but I waited 35 minutes for my take out food only to find out it was just sitting on a shelf because they were to Committed to their in house personal conversation than to let us know our food was ready..SMH. I guess they feel because they are the only game in town they can have poor service. I personally will not return...
